Or, possibly, sitting on the kitchen floor (at forty years old) and playing with your three-year-olds lego at 1am (yes, I have just been doing exactly that and my three-year-old is fast a-bobbos)

Ahhhhh but those little magnet things are better - my kid's 10 and her magnets are great fun - even watching them do that *repel* thing they do is great

lego (and if could do the bit that you do to illistrate trademark, I would) and it's derivatives are excelllent for playing with. You can't beat trying to doing a Bionicle (tm, if I knew how to that) before your child

Young magwitch has reminded me of a simple pleasure I can longer take in my own home as I moved into this flat last year. That of sitting at the top or the middle of the stairs. There something strangely relaxing about sitting a on stair, one that you just don't get from more regular seating systems or devices.

"culturing a really dangers bacterium up in the sink"
Done a bit of that myself recently. Need to buy a new woman and pair to sort that out. Had to take the last back to shop, kept thinking it was aloud to leave the kitchen.*

Sitting on the John having one of those satisfying bowel movements. You know, that ones that border on mystical. Where you're like... And there are hundreds of the cutest little fat people floating right in front of you and it's wonderful and then... they speak!

Azathoth I've been thinking about trying to sleep on the stairs. Don't know why.

I have had that desire myself, a testament to the apparently mystical power of stairs to better one's state of being. I suspect though that weak but unstopable force of gravity would out do it though, a certain amount of sliding would be involved without the adoption of a position that would do harm to one's posture.
Perhaps the landing would be close enough to the stairs for their energies to take effect.
