I am currently sitting at my desk, doing everything except what I'm meant to be doing, which is an essay. I have been staring at a blank document until my brain melted and seeped through my ears. I believe this warrants a post here.

I just unplugged a USB cable, from the wall charger socket, and plugged it into the PC, and started transferring over some more music files now watching the percentage complete counter gradually increase towards 100%

Waiting for inspiration to write a pun poem while having a conversation with Simba about whether or not he thinks it is going to rain or not on Tuesday.

I am now making another hopeless attempt to get some actual work done. I’ve been actively avoiding my schoolwork, amongst other responsibilities, for hours and now I have run out of procrastinating time and have to either commit to not doing the work or starting and finishing it in the next two hours.

Schrödingers homework… Unless you tell us what you decided to do eventually, you homework will be in a quantum state of being made and not being made from our perspective.

I did, in fact, finish the school work. As it turns out, I can write a decent essay in under two hours. I guess I’ll have to procrastinate longer next time so maybe I’ll have more of a challenge. Also, I recently got to analyse any poem for my English class at university and, of course, I wrote about Douglas Adams' poem "A Dissertation on the task of writing a poem on a candle and an account of some of the difficulties thereto pertaining.” Quite an enjoyable essay. I began with the defenestrations of Prague and closed off on the defenestration of Duke Arthur of Brittany.

Had I not shaved in that period, I would now have a beard of length 72.4 centimetres.

Are you going to validate that claim in the next 1118 days?

Waiting for rain, is a very boring practise. It is frustrating waiting for weather forecasts to predict the likelihood of rain, only to be told that they don't know where, when and if they will be any rain. I live in area that has both a thunderstorm and snow shield and it has now developed a rain shield which deflects any possible rain showers from the unitary borough of Thurrock.

You can have some of ours if you like.

I am currently coding an app that will tell the user whether or not it is Thursday, and if not exactly how many days are left until then.

Does it correct for local language? Otherwise it should be able to predict when the current location is expected to be conquered and assimilated by an English speaking power, plus some days for it to become Thursday after that happens.

Waiting for my washing machine to stop it's cycle and waiting for the washing to dry on the washing line.

Waiting for the quarantine to end or at least relax enough for me to see a barber.

I am not going to attempt to shave my beard (which has been growing since the quarantine began a year ago) at this point without professional assistance.

Waiting for my woodland flowers to appear along with the blossom on my trees and shrubs in my back garden and front garden. It seems like to a very long wait. I do have two daisies in my front garden but that's it.

Waiting for the site to not return a time out message. Oh, it doesn't now.

I AM still pondering this can, and if it was ever finished..

Filling in bureaucratic forms and surveys must be the most tedious and banal activity, especially when they repeat the same question with different wording.

Especially when the forms are badly written, or contain errors
