I'll have to keep that in mind about Windows 10.
The idea of going back to Windows does give me a bit of 'gag and choke' reflex, but Vista was reasonably tolerable most of the time.
On moles and makeup covering for them, one on of past flames used to use stick-on moles that were easily pealable.
I'm reminded of a set of identical twins gals that I could tell apart only by means of counting the freckles on their noses.
There was an Independant Film Channel program once, by an Italian production group, called "Suicide Girls" that specialized in females with unusual natural body markings. (I've not been able to find an internet listing for it, though.)
I've been acquainted with members of a local, southern California native American group where the members have white points, hands feet and muzzles, like a calico cat.

Wasn't there a song about a Tattoo'd Lady, George Formby perhaps?

We went to town to see
That old tattooed lady
She was a sight to see
Tattooed from head to knee.
My Uncle Ned was there
He came to gape and stare
I never he declared
Seen such a freak so fair.
And on her jaw was the Royal Flying Corp.
And on her back was the Union Jack
Now could you ask for more?
All up and down her spine
Was the Queen's own Guard in line
While all around her hips
Sailed a fleet of battleships
And over her left kidney
Was a bird's eye view of Sydney
But what we liked best
Was upon her chest,
A little home in Wai-ki-ki.
(Spoken) What did you say? (Repeat)
Welcome to the Mudcat Cafe,
katlaughing
no, apparently it was Graucho Marx, but I now know how to spell Tattooed!

I love assembling flatpack me, always a challenge to be savoured, and it saves me watching boring football all night! Now this bit must go there, not the long screws the short ones, is that the right hand panel or the left? Can't wait!

We just bought RTA from IKEA for the first time. It wasn't nearly as difficult to put together as I had been led to believe. While I didn't personally assemble it, I noticed a distinct lack of swearing from Mr B, who did.

Shopping has to be the most boring and tedious activity and the most mentally and physically draining.

There used to be a song, or record, it was a bit of a monologue, used to be on Children's favourites quite often, called Life Get's Tedious Don't it, I remember clearly 'cos I didn't know what tedious meant at the time, about an old farmer couldn't be bothered to do anything, his farm was collapsing around him, I'd have a look to see who did it, but I can't be bothered.

Replying to myself again, depressing. Tedious is spelt Tee-jus in the title in the above posting it's by the great old actor Walter Brennan, I think his most famous role was in the Treasure of the Sierra Madre, in which he starred with Humphrey Bogart, surely one of the finest films ever made, anyways the record could be the theme tune of this thread, which is almost as old as the record come to think of it, it's on you tube.

Have you heard the old cliché about when you're retired you don't know how you managed to find the time for work? Well I'm retired and I'm bored stiff. Can't wait till it's bedtime, then I lie in as long as I can the next morning, nothing whatever to get out of bed for, except porridge, I love porridge me, with Golden Syrup on. Those of you who have to get up at 6am and face a long tedious journey to your boring occupations don't know how lucky you are.

If anybody reads this thread, the Treasure of the Sierra Madre is on TCM tonight, (see above postings) I've seen it loads of times but I've got nothing better to do. I find tho old black and white relaxing actually, colour can be just too stimulating. I'm off to Bournemouth for a few days tomorrow. Lots of old codgers just like me, drifting around in the rain. Passes the time.

Even better than that, old radio drama, channel 148, Sirius XM.
One needs merely close one's eyes to rest them, and listen.

The old winter isn't half dragging on, great saves me doing anything in the garden. What was it WH Davies said, 'What is this life, if full of Care, You've got to get up out the Chair', something like that.
