Pears are fine omylouse - and toffee apples.
Eve's apple was from he tree of knowlege - it doesn't look like there's a lot of them about at the moment
Just check if his Lordship is OK after his Granny Smith, and enjoy your

i agree we need a pic!!!! I feel maybe we should hold a little protest.
i used to be a big protester, i was called "High Priest of Glendor" back im them days. and me and "walter of colne" were always protesting at the bottom of the h2g2 towers. they even built a bench for us to sit on we were there so much. *sighs* the good old days, huh... *blinks*
Ahh well, can't get caught up in the past. you up for a freindly protest? i'll explain what you actualy do to cause this protest to work,
basicaly what you do is we would go to the page where they are asking about new smileys or if that ones been closed we go to the help forum. Then we post a message saying we want a tag. Then all we do is stay there talking bout the weather and what we ate last night etc. what happens is we use up vital space on there comlants section untill they give in and give us what they want.
It has to remain peaceful though.
Sound like fun??? want to give it ago?

I'll join you LP - I like toffee apples - they remind me of my youth - a long time ago now
I'm new to protesting but as long as it's peaceable and no violence I'm game. I've always been a bit of a rebel. Hey hey

we do often sing actualy, on these little protest rolf harris songs, to be more exact it's usualy "two little boys". it started as a song just to annoy the people in h2g2 towers but i began to like it myself!!!
*hums tune to "two little boys"*

If you really want something to protest about, protest about the fact that Misc Chat has no longer a link on the Talk Page. I hassled the Moxon dude about it, but all he could say was that Misc Chat ain't really the sort of place they feel people should be directed too. Why not use Ask H2G2?
Now how does that make us Misc Chat people feel. Lonely and unread? Leperous?
Don't get me wrong. I know how important toffee apple smileys are, but there's nout like getting your teeth stuck into a chewy, contentious arguement with the Moxon. Go on give it a try.

i understand your pain man but please don't dis Mark Moxon as head of his fan club i would be forced to ignore you and that is something i would hate to do. i feel the same wasy about the misc chat coz it was my soul and mind. I am with you if you wish to start a protest on that as well, both can be achieved, it would not be hard to have two forums, would it?
please raise your right hands and pledge your allegance to our cause. Let us begin.

Sorry your Lordship. No way was I dissing the headman Moxon. It's just that I like Misc chat, and feel a lot of other people who are unaware of it's existance, would like the place as well.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/F47999?thread=126995&post=1126599#p1126599 that is hopefully a working link to my started thread for our protest on toffee apples. i hope it works :-) What is needed now is that we all just start talking normaly like we do here, about anyhting, untill our demands are met. we can also make up songs about toffee apples to show them we mean business.
