h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hello everyone. Lady C's memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM CDT(5:00 PM GMT)on Friday. Many of you participated in my husband's memorial service in December 2004. It was that participation which resulted in Lady C wanting to know who all my friends around the world were and if she could meet you. That is how she came to join h2g2 some months later.

It is sad that we're talking about doing a similar thing for her, but it is also somehow appropriate. Sort of like closing a circle for her. I genuinely appreciate Titania suggesting it.

Lady C loved candles. She had them all over her house. I think she would get a kick out of knowing that her h2g2 friends are lighting candles in her memory. The candle ceremony will be around 11:30/5:30. I will take a large pillar candle with me, give the people there an explanation of what is happening around the globe and then light the candle while one of her favorite songs is played.

If you can participate, please let me know before bedtime tomorrow. And although I know where most of you live, please remind me anyway, just to be on the safe side.
