The Trafford Centre?
Wigan?
the Centre of Manchester?

I'd still like to do the Halifax Haricot. Halifax is a lovely town, the Piece Hall has some great shops (including a -themed one with broomsticks 'parked' outside, and there's a good choice of picturesque pubs.

It certainly is by train. There are regular and late-running direct trains between Halifax and Manchester.

Having just had a look at online train times, there are trains between Manchester and Marple after 9pm, just not to the other railway station in Marple. It's not that far between the two...

Rose Hill is nearer, but the other one is not too* far away for hubby to pick me up from there, if that is where we are going to go.

Hmm... it's all gone rather quiet here. What's happening? Are we, in fact, meeting in Halifax a week on Saturday? Should I be mailing the Italics and begging for quiz prizes, and should we be fine-tuning the details of when and where?
Perhaps everyone's just too hot to post.
