Guys - for those not on the ACEForum (but I recognise most of you) Here's the situation.

This Researcher (she by the way) has been making death-threats to my band-leader. My band-leader is a perfectly respectable person, who is not taking any of this well, particularly as she has to look after her ill parents at home.

This Resarcher is not called Yvonne. They do not live at the address they posted either. She is here purely to cause trouble. She has another account under the name of "Mary Loo", formerly "luceyloo". She logs on at home (as over the past fortnight), and at college like me during term time.

Death threats are an arrestable offence.

This is already a police matter. Unfortunately - the culprit claims to be "ill" and not remember any of what she does. I stay well away incase she decides to stab me and "forget". She has been for treatment, claims to be cured now, but carries on anyway. What she's doing on H2G2 is tame compared to the rest.

Also, until now - we've just had tonne upon tonne of evidence which is classified as "circumstansial" - so the Police won't arrest her.

I have been questioned on this by the Police in the earlier days. I was not best pleased, as my parents are both licenced firearms-holders and we were about to go to the low-power rifle range for practice and had the rifles on the kitchen table ready to pack in the car. Not the best situation to be interviewed about death-threats in I think you'll agree.

The culprit thought it was hilarious. I'll just see where I got up to, then I'll carry on....

The Researcher's name is not Yvonne - the victim's is. There have been multiple death-threats, byt phone, SMS etc. Also nuicence phone calls etc. My Mum has also received the odd nucience call, but to date, there has been no solid evidence to connect this. (Withheld number etc.)

In my opinion, this person should be considered dangerous. I refuse to be in the same room as this person without a friend nearby incase something happens.

i think that this is unfair. This is very personal and private, and shouldnt be said on a public convesation, if as you say, the person is someone else, then they can read this, and I can imagine, be very upset by it. Im sure they have anther side of the story. Im sure that they probably are ill. Mental illness might be a strange concept to you but it does exist (dig at lifson). I think also that it is a very one sided conversation, and has no relevance whatsoever to any of this. Maybee you should out the whole truth before sending someone down in flames. I think that its wrong. I have set up this account to write write this, bcos i dont want anyone to know who i am.

I do believe that mental illness exists, but you're behaviour when you do accept responsibility and when you don't are very similar - so although I believe it exists - I don't believe that you have any.

Just for the record - I'm not saying that she does not have mental illness, I'm just saying that in my opinioin, it is very unlikely.

The only reason not to ban her might be that ignoring active accounts and yiking posts might be more frustrating to her than this way of registering and immediatly being banned.

Seeing as the accounts are now banned and things are now being sorted out over here in my corner of RL, perhaps it's now time we brought this to a close.

There is nothing further to be achieved here, so we should put it in the past as just another sticky episode which has been cleared up.
Call it a learning experience if you will. Remember how we all came together and dealt with it, in case (God forbid!) it should happen again - but let's all move on.
