...but should it be possible for a banned account to appear on the "who's online" popup? [Mary Loo U183869]
Under normal circumstances, this would show that they'd logged in, and my assumption is that you shouldn't be able to do that once you're banned...
Possibly this is some odd freak of the server, but it's a bit unnerving.
If you're still subscribed to this, I'd appreciate knowing quite how this is possible.

They seem to have gone from the gadget now, and I don't think they did anything while here, if here they were, so no harm done, I suppose.
Still curious and a little alarmed, though.

Banned people can now be logged on and online, but are unable to make any posts (or create or edit entries). I'm not sure how helpful this distinction is...

It means they can try - the more active ones can then presumably be watched out for.
