smiley - biggrin Well, like I said: Genetics dictates that my weirdery had to come from somewhere smiley - winkeye

And yeah, normal parents are a drag. Aside from Opus, who would want June Cleaver as a mother?

dragonqueen - eternally free and forever untamed - insomniac extraordinaire - proprietrix of a bullwhip, badger button and (partly) of a thoroughly used sub with a purple collar. Matron of Honour.

Hey!
That´s the way we´re supposed to react these days! We don´t want our babies to become young parents unplanned, get AIDS or any other STIs!

Be happy you´ve got us that care for you!

Based on a true story?! I dont think I want to ask. The day MY mum says anything like that - I'm leaving home.

Well, kitush, if you were my daughter you would live by yourself now smiley - winkeye

Actually I prefer to make sure my offspring have the right equipment available, than to risk to lose them in a horrible lethal disease...

It´s just not "make love love, not babies" as it was in my youth...

True...But But...But..I'm out of a job right now!

Its just the idea of your mother telling you that. Totally freaks me out. Mind you - my parents aren't particularly open in that area so...that would explain why I'd freak out.

...out of some reason it´s seems as the offspring is more embarrased than the parent...

One of the few times I´ve seen smiley - geek (aged 23 and at Uni) smiley - blush was last autumn when he was at home and followed me to the super market, and I asked him if "the supplies" needed to be refilled...

I never understood why buying certain items is embarrasing...

is smiley - geek your son? *is a little confuzzled*

its just wrong for your parents to even acknowledge you have that kind of relationship with your partner, or with random people. Just plain wrong.

Yes, smiley - geek is one of my grown up sons.

...I assume you´re still in your teens, kitush, and live in a "victorian setting"...

I don´t discuss my offsprings (or my own) "personal lives" in detail, technical support they´d better find somewhere else smiley - biggrin

Victorian setting eh...*peers around* nope. Wearing jeans and t-shirt today, so none of that fancy dressing up for me....

As for in my teens....hmm....erm. I've done a bachelors, and completed a masters, and spent 6 months working (now unemployed and looking..) so er....I'm a pretty gifted teen i think smiley - winkeye

Well, sorry for that, but your points of view I mostly get from teen girls grown up in right wing religious families... my own prejudices obviously are shown here..

If I'd tell my mum that I'm having an ory she'd just ask 'and what are you *really* doing?' smiley - laugh she'd never believe me

No idea wether she'd ever tell me to use protection. smiley - huh I think she'd be sure I do anyhow.

SuperMoo: Now With Even More Online-ness

see...when my parents ask what I've been up to I generally respond with..."well...the same old same old...you know...TPing the chancelor's house...wild parties...the ususal" or something to that extent...this is usually taken by my dad as "i don't want to talk about what I've been doing as it's none of your buisness" as I think my dad thinks that I will never talk to him again if given the chance...which isn't true...and my mom takes this as "not really anything interesting or different from the last time I answered the question"...which is closer to what I mean...

T.B. Falsename ACE: [stercus venio] I have learned from my mistakes, and feel I could repeat them exactly.

One of my Ex's and myself taught her dad to _always_ knock before entering her room...I don't think he walked in on us more than 4 or 5 times

ah...I told my room mate to just lock me out in those sort of situations...of course...this was only possible due to the fact that we never locked our dorm room door after the first couple weeks...and even though I had my key...I don't really want to walk in on anyone...

Well, I don't think she really believed me either. What was so shocking was how nonchalent she was during the conversation.

I expected at least an "excuse me" or something.
