How very utterly RUDE!

Rudeness, there is no excuse for it. There is no point in spreading ill will and nastiness around. It matters not whether you believe in reaping what you sowed, what goes around comes around, or bad karma. Rudeness is simply, rude.
Rudeness seems to be mistaken for witty repartee these days. Television shows and movies are full of actors who do nothing more than yell insults. Even worse are the people who don't understand the difference between the people on the screen and real people. These are the people who end up hurling unwarranted insults at real people in a lame attempt at humor.
The worst thing about being challenged to a battle of wits with an unarmed person is the lack of imagination. Really, if you are going to resort to name calling, could you at least use a bit of variety. And, expletives...don't get me started.

My day is okay, so far.
How is your day going?
The rudeness rant was something I had to say about some things I'm tired of seeing around here. My policy is: Approach me kindly and politely. That is how I'll respond, doesn't matter how you approach others.
But, when you approach my friends rudely, and then me rudely you will probably wish you hadn't approached me at all.

*sigh* You asked! Relatively so far...however after a glorious, sunny 24 C yesterday (T-shirts & motorcycles)...what greets us today? Overcast skies & about an inch of fresh snow!!
I'm trying to stay positive though...

Evangeline, there are some of us who are mistaken for rude when all we did was not respond to the rudeness of others. I try to live by the philosophy that if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. However, not replying to insults and rudeness is condidered rude. I don't know how to deal with that. Should I go live in a cave and be a hermit?

*unlocks large box under desk where the accents and Southernisms are stored for safe keeping*
If someone is doing their best to fix or do something, I have all the patience in the world. If someone says something offensive or tactless in passing, that's okay, maybe they didn't mean it that way. It's the willful rudeness and nastiness that really incenses me.
When someone approaches me with rudeness: Firstly, "I'm sorry I must have misunderstood you". Secondly, "Oh, I see you really did mean to be that rude. But, I'm not stooping to your level. I asked you nicely. Don't make me have to come over there and *smack* you."
There isn't a third time, ever! My Southern accent gets much thicker when I'm angry.

As I should've expected, that snow was gone with the first bit of partial sunshine...it's almost like Mother Nature's teasing us, y'know? (First time) hmm, spring?...not yet! (Second time)Ohhh, caught you again! (Third time) Oh, Come on, you didn't see that coming?...hopefully that's it now, definitely ready for the celebrated "April showers" instead of the white stuff from now on.

All this ging and being nice to each other is making an evil person, such as myself, feel rather nauseous!

I'm not *that* refined. Just campaigning against unwarranted rudeness. Save it for where it belongs- the telemarketers.
Too many hugs? Okay, um... CATCH!...
