Not to mention it made my bus ride quite a bit shorter. It can take me an hour to get to my office in midtown from my home on the UWS and today it was only about 30 minutes.
You are coming to our NYC meetup, aren't you Mr. C? Go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A636789 for info (though there isn't much yet).

How is everybody doing here now? On Saturday morning, I woke up from a nightmare of being under One Liberty Plaza and another plane impacting into it. I can only imagine the horrors in the dreams of those who were actually there. The entire city looks like it's more short on sleep than usual (remember, we were the City That Never Sleeps before already). I also developed a roll of film my girlfriend shot when a friend visited. Half of the pix were of a trip to the WTC and photos from the roof. I imagine there will be more of these spooky encounters with ghosts. I think we've all been suffering from low-grade depression, but I'm feeling a bit better, more hopeful. How are you all doing?
I've read there are two teams of architects working to make the image on the NY Times magazine from last week (with the two ghostly pillars of light) a reality. I honestly can't think of a better-short term monument if they can pull it off...

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
