Ummm, all of them?
What is the point of this forum?
My favourite album is probably Sheer Heart Attack but that's marginal and it sometimes varies.

Angelfeet, here for a fleeting visit Posted Oct 17, 2001
I thought maybe we're supposed to say what our favourite album is at the moment and then someone compiles a top ten or something.
Either that or we just spout random titles at each other.
Really, my favourite album is the one I feel the need to listen to at any particular time.

Got in one! Well, ish... it was initially for me to compile a topten of all the members' favourites together, but I don't seem to be able to get around to it, so for the minute it's either of those ideas

Don Alfredo Posted Oct 30, 2001
My favorite album of Queen is:
"live at Wembly"
which is recorded during their concert in 1988 if I am not mistaken.

Ade, you've gotta get a pc or a mac soon! There's so many queen sites around! And even if we could upload files to h2g2, you still cuoldn't listen to any of the queen songs i have, because i know for a fact that telywest boxes don't play that type of sound file

(You can get a cheap bog standard one for about 500 quid now so, you know, it's not as much as you might think; get a bog standard connection by telewest- blueyonder; its okay now and then and its free if you get surf unlimited; fixed monthly line rental and that's it oh, and a one of 10 quid installation fee)

i know.. did you see that docu thing about freddie? The untold story? My dad went out and left the TV on, I dont know where my sister and mum were... , but anyway, I heard "and coming up at 11:15 on one, a documentuary".. at this point i went to get up to get the remote and switch it off, until "dedicated to the life of Freddie Mercury.." at THIS point, i set a reminder for it!! plus my little travel alarm clock too just in case i forgot
It was ok, ended with only the good die young.. which is a damn song
I like it anyway..
Oh, Seeing as the off topic rule applies everywhere on h2g2, though still on the subject of Freddie Mercury and / or Queen, My Favourite album would probably have to be one of the early ones... like Queen II (especially Side 2) or A Night at the opera.. Where on side 1, there's a medley of The Prophet's song, Love of my life and something else I think.. but on Queen II, there's a medley of Ogre Battle (I love that one), The Fairy Feller's Master Stroke (that too!), Nevermore ( A CLASSIC!!) and The march of the black queen!! (then it goes on after that to the seven seas of rhye..) i love that album
Of course, I need to buy the CD versions sometime soon and give my dad his 25- year old tapes back!

Bassman - Funny how people never ceases to amaze me! Posted Dec 4, 2001
Sheer Heart Attack.
I always feel that Sheer Heart Attack is THE album which established Queen as a major rock act. Brighton Rock being a major showpiece of the multiple delay being used by Brian. The album as a whole was a veritable Smorgisboard of differing musical styles, from the hard rock of Now I'm Here, to the eloquent swagger of In The Lap Of The Gods.

If we're going to start on Greatest Hits and Greatest Hits II, I think Greatest Flix II has to my best Video Compilation or whatever we're gonna call them
Mainly because the Video collection of Queen Videos in my house is slightly limited But if we're going to start a new feature, That would be mine

Shaunak - who loves to swim in chilly water Posted Dec 29, 2001
Hmm .. OK, then I won't start on those albums.
Aside from those, I guess "A Night At the Opera" is my favourite album. I haven't heard 'Hot Space' and 'Queen.'

Bassman - Funny how people never ceases to amaze me! Posted Dec 29, 2001
I personally don't think you can include the Greatest Hits albums because they don't contain any new material in their own right. I don't dispute that they are great though.
It always annoys me when MTV state the origin of a music video to a greatest hits album, rather than the record that it originally appeared on.
But that's just me.
Bassman.

I sometimes wonder too.. seeing as i've only seen The Show Must Go On from Greatest Flix II, - that video contains clips of a good few other videos.. Is that the original Show must go on vid? or Just one that the "Torpedo Twins" put together for GF2?
