But then, wouldn't you rather have a Perfectly Crisp CD with Perfect Fantastic Music on it?
Then again, I can see where you're coming from - there's something in the essence.. so much so, that when I make my own music on this Music making program on my pc I added some vinyl fx.. (no, not scratching... that just ruins it... you know... the "rocking" or whatever they call it )
But never tapes.. never, ever ever... tapes are what my collection is based on because its not mine But my Dad doesn't mind - He doens't know
He just thinks they've been lost somewhere - I'm gonna record them and give him his originals back one day.. maybe for his birthday or something..
I think it might have something to do with sentimental values, too.. Like this recorded tape my dad made of Innuendo, I think, which I heard when I was very young, When I found it about a year ago I was delighted with it!!
I don't know what it is... it's just a weird thing of life..

Bi-i-cycle, Bi-i-cycle, Bi-i-cycle
I want to ride my bicycle,
I want to ride my bike,
I want to ride my bicycle,
I want to ride it where I like!

And thus proves my theory: You cannot hate, or dislike a Queen song, just like it 'a little less' than the others

I tend to suspend my judgement a little with artists that are older than I, give 'em a little benefit of the doubt that they know what they are doing and I don't.
With younger artists, though, since in many cases I've been listening to the influences that influenced their influences, I'd often rather go back to the source.
In the case of Freddy and Co., I think, in many ways, they are a source.

Yeah In other words, The likes of S club 7 and five and whatnot can just go home and forget about everything?
I mean, what are they're target audience, twelve years old or something, anyway?

Since I'm perfectly ignorant of their existence...they're not getting my money, anyway...
I listen to very little radio, I don't get cable...I have a massive collection of CDs and Tapes and a few Albums and when I get tired of those, I just pick up ye olde guitar and plug in for myself...
I have a primitive yet intricate style that I'm rather fond of...
For years, I played on a mostly homemade electric...thank you, Brian.

Was that a May quote?
If not I'm confused by the way you worded it Nevermind
I hear the URL trial was a success! Yey! www.brianmay.com!! and http://www.ilooklikebrianmay.com!!
although you've already been there by reading the fan club all the way through,
haven't you?
I tend to go download some queen mp3s and go upstairs to play around with my keyboard *wish I hadn't given up on the guitar now * while I wait for them to download, but end up being rather addicted to it and going to listen to what I've just saved on the computer about an hour after its been done and my internet connection has auto-timed out

No. There was no quote. Just me.
No. I haven't read the whole thread.
I kinda got out of that habit.
Too busy creating ones.
I've got a gimme little composing dealy on my computer called
Finale notepad. It gives me a staff, I put notes on it, and it plays it back for me in key.
I may not know what I'm doing, but I like doing it!

I cannot help but be exposed to the music of my generation- and I can truthfully say I like almost none of it. Queen had their hayday before I was born... well, some of it...(i was born in 84) but their music will live on! (If we have anything to do with it!)

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
