At 10 to 1 this British first made its debut (according to us but the Chinese may have got there first, as usual) seen.

What was it

MMF - Keeper of Mustelids, with added P.M.A., is now in a relationship.

Did the Chinese do it at 15 to 1? And is the time significant?

What was it
One of they kettle thingies with two (or more) spouts pointing tangentially.
- A prototype steam engine

Who made the first one
Don't know - too early for Bacon (down boy!)
- ?

And how did it expand things
Put water in it, hang it over a fire, water boils, steam issues plentifully forth, item spins.
- Lots of steam from a little water.

Well, chips will only have started after Drake went off and found the potato, and tea first came to the country after Charles I had has unfortunate meeting with the fellow in the black mask - around 1630, I think.

But anyway, 1250 - writing things down on paper?
Or making paper?
