What is strange regarding the online map of North Korea???
Definitely no Googling this one.
Doubt whether Wiki would help!

Do you mean online map as in online presence? North Korea's existence on the web?
If so, is it strangely large for such an impoverished nation, where few are allowed on the net? It's unusually big because of the government's focus on hacking?

I hates to be the monkey with a wrench here but two points:
How does we refer to the google earth map you're talking about
with looking at it on google earth?
And, is using the word 'bomb' really a good idea when talking
about North Korea?

The point is ~jwf~ you do not refer to it.
I have looked at it, and noticed something strange about it.
And I am saying 'bomb' as in the solution being found quickly, before the klaxons go off!!

does it show the border along the 49th ??? paralel, or whichever one it was in the traty of the cease fire and not the real border as it stands, after mcarthur ignored the un and tried to unify all the country, before getting his arse handed to him on a plate by the chinese!!!

Presumably this is because the North Korean government objects to there being an online map of the country that they do not control. Possibly because then people could see things that North Korea would rather keep secret.
Not that they actually are secrets, of course. I'd be surprised if several secret services around the world did not keep tabs on the internal configuration of NK, along with a few other interesting countries.

If you click on the Google streetview every picture shows Kim Jong Il standing on the pavement, holding a Korean flag ......and all alone.

I wikied Kim Jong just to make sure I had the right spelling and, according to Wiki (and when has it ever been wrong?) Kim Jong is the de facto leader of North Korea. The official leader of the country is Kim Il-Sung (his father) who has been dead since 1994. The problem is that everyone was so scared of Kim Il-Sung that no one has dared suggest that he is dead, just in case.
