No using Google or Wikipedia.
There are a few klaxons, so be careful.

The Coat of arms is of a village, town or city in Kent

There is a comedian whose biography (auto? not sure) was called 'A Kentish Lad'. Trouble is I can never remember his name. I can remember his voice, his face, the fact that he was Dennis Norden's writing partner, and even (vaguely) the anecdote about how he and Norden met. But his name? No.

That's him! Thank you. Trouble is, I'll only remember his name for a short period, and then it'll go again. I can never seem to hold his name in my head for some reason. It's sad, but there it is.

The coat of arms of Kent is a White Horse on a red background, with the Motto 'Invicta'.
The horse is believed to relate to the Anglo-Saxons. I can't remember whether it was their symbol or name for Kent.
Isn't Invicta something to do with Victorious or unbeaten?
Is this linked to 'The Man of Kent / Kentish Man' thing. If you were born East of the Medway you are a Man / Maiden of Kent, but born West of the Medway, you are a Kentish Man or Maiden. This stems from the Men of Kent refusing William the Conqueror to march across that portion of Kent to reach London, being the most direct route. Hence the 'Invicta' motto.
Interestingly, on the bridge crossing the Medway at Chatham, the Kentish Man pub is on the Man of Kent side of the river, and the Man of Kent pub is on the Kentish Man's side.
Now as to the supports, that I am unsure of, as I've only studied the Ramsgate Armorial in any detail.I guess it has heraldic creatures supporting it, which may have a maritime theme. I'm certain I recall a Cinque Ports link, being a very important, and unique, part of Kent's history.
So:
What is quite interesting about a coat of arms in Kent? It's got a n'orse on it.
Where is the coat of arms from? Anglo-Saxon origin.
Why was the quite interesting feature added? To signify the refusal of the Men of Kent to allow William the Conqueror to cross their Land.
When was the quite interesting feature added? Whenever that happened.
Guess there'll be a few there, but then I'm from Plannit Fannit... Not the Medway Towns.

I know that the armorial of RAF Biggin Hill incorporates a sword with a chain wrapped around it, and this old station is near Bromley.
Is this insignia in Bromley's Coat of Arms?
Is it a case of 'Which came first'? The Borough or the Airfield?
Dunno...........

Taff: very true +1 DGI
MazinMadFiddler: Not Ramsgate, and you have no idea how close you were to a klaxon with something else you said. Also, I have already specified that it's not about the Arms of Kent itself.

I am from the Medway tarns and know nothing about the coat of arms of Kent, apart from the orse' bit. So I shall follow this thread with interest.

Where is the coat of arms from..are not all coats of arms sorted by the college of arms or something like that do know Kent contains four of the cinq ports..Hastings being the other one..could it have something to do with them....

A Super Furry Animal Posted Aug 26, 2010
The coat of arms of the cinque ports is three lions, with their rear ends replaced by boats' sterns. Are they the only symbol on a coat of arms which is half animal, half man-made object?

Is it to do with the "actual" coat of arms, as in the linen worn over the armour? I'll happily risk more s by saying St George's cross and the crusades

van-smeiter: No. However, that didn't occur to me so there's no klaxon for that.

Hmmmmm
A 'Quite interesting feature added'
Is this feature something that is not usually found on a 'Coat of Arms'
Something VERY unusual???
I have seen many coats of arms in my time. Supported/unsupported. Surmounted/not surmounted.
With motto/(very unusually)without motto.
I have also seen many things within the 'Field' of the 'Coat of Arms'
Just about the only thing I have 'NEVER' seen on the shield of a coat of arms is a numerical figure, or an alphabetical letter....
Any closer???

Interesting feature...
Something modern perhaps? A computer? A mobile phone? A nuclear power station?
On another tack, a lot of the battle of Britain took place over Kent, so how about a Spitfire?
