We have reached the edge of my recollection with "Albatross". As a lad they were not exactly thick on the ground on my birdwatching forays, so my neccessary knowledge was limited to "if its mainly white and twelve foot wide you are either in the Southern Hemisphere or go easy on the homebrew."
That's not strictly true, I believe there are Albatrosses in the Northern Pacific, but I wouldn't like to swear to it after all this time.
My only other remembrance of Albatrosses is as a nutritious snack at the cinema,
"Albatross, gannet on a stick."
"Do you have any ice creams?"
"No I've just got this albatross."
"What flavour is it?"
"It isn't any flavour, its an albatross."
"Well it must have some flavour."
"Alright then its bleedin albatross flavour"
"Does it come with wafers?"

Right on the money, there!!
It was a Black-Browed, and it did attempt to nest in the middle of the Gannet colony off Hermaness NNR on Unst!!
Well done!!
And yes, the nearest mate would have been around the Falklands, 10,000 miles away!!
