"*curtseys* to the Captain." [lanzababy]
I misread that at first. I thought the first word was "cutesies."

Yeh well; I hardly ever look at facebook anyway. You can't have a drink and odd girls turn up saying they will fly to me if I say they are good on a spiffing website.
I'm going to have a fag and to get over it.

When did the Lighthouse Bar become a poetry appreciation society?
I wandered lonely as a cloud,
Burning bright, in the forests of the night,
With shrill notes of anger and mortal alarm,
Across the white fields and out of sight.

oh, we've always appreciated a good verse
you set the bar pretty high though - and late in the evening we would appreciate a bar that isn't much more than - say - 20 inches high

Once upon an evening dim
the door slammed open, rain rushed in
a gale it blew
the wind right through
and we all held on to our beer in case it got spilled and told pierce to shut that bloody door before we all have to go change out of our wet clothes again and dammit we WILL shout even if you ARE the captain cos you appear to have been born in a barn or something!
Oops.
Not sure why my poems do that. it's a bit like tourettes.

Some haiku:
In the bar, bards spew
Drivel, bosh, and baloney,
Heard by happy sots.

You don't *seem* to be banned, so don't sweat it unless it actually happens.

You don't know what she did;
cos she thought I was the daddy,
and was big.
But never the less I'm subdued,
With thoughts of will I ever find love,
But I'm sophisticated and strong,
and know love comes from above,
My life is totally wrong;
Because I like wearing only a thong.
It was on the good ship penus;
my god you should have seen us.
The captain whore stockings up to his ass,
but you wouldn't dare ask,
why.
Cos it keeps you warm,
Is that silly,
Is it enough that common sense is shewn,
worn. Like a hero filly,
horse abandoned without care for BILLY.
I said I was not a poet, I am a
so there.

I expect that you are a better pirate than a poet.
