Yes - the site is running slow - it's getting a lot of "hits" from people checking on their US friends. Mine are OK (but distressed, obviously) ... including the one who lives in Manhattan - thank goodness! I'll stick to my usual please ....

My connection, like everyone else's is poor, not surprising as one of the major hubs is in Manhattan.

I wish I didn't feel so inadequate.

I keep watching the new channels and hoping that there will be some good news. At least a few survivors have been pulled out.

Survivors are good. At least there are a few less families torn appart.
The best news I have heard this morning was not on the news. I had expected to wake to find half the middle-east smoking. I don't see how that would help, but it seemed a very likely outome. We've had enough death without generating any more.
