Good Angel - recently become obsessed to the point of psychosis with the film 'Bio-Dome' Started conversation Jun 6, 2001
Ok, forgive me for always leaping into conversations and trying too hard to be perky and friendly, but it's not often I meet a like-minded person and I like to acquaint myself with them.
First of all, I am also 16, going to be 17 in August, so what date's your birthday then? I'm the 11th. (11/08/1984 - obligatory adding-up-to-42 goes like this: 1 + 1 + 0 = 2 x 8 = 16 x 19 = 304 / 8 = 38 + 4 = 42. Just worked that out today in the spare hour at the end of my Higher Economics exam, although I had to use the calculator. It won't surprise you to know that I got a C for Higher Maths last year). Born on a Saturday. Far to go apparently, although Wednesday would be more appropriate.
That's about it for now, but, like a stuffed-crust cheese and mushroom pizza eaten at two in the morning (specifically September 8th/9th 1998 Pizza Hut in Queen St. Glasgow, after Mansun gig at Virgin), I'll be back.
Luv Your Friend the Good Angel, out with my ansaphone etc. xxx

Don't worry about the perky and friendliness thing.
Born on the second of August - 02/08/84 - (8*4) + (2+8) +or- (0+0) = 42 (Probably a number of ways to do it, but I just did it in a few seconds. I'll come up with a better one).
I was born on Thursday(full of grace?) according to my computer, but we all know what computers can be like, especially if you've read HHGTTG.
Hopefully, though, your return will be much more plesant than the pizza's one.

Yes, this one's relatively painless.
King Adora might be doing a signing in Glasgow for their next single (Friday Night Explodes, due July/August). They should be, anyway, cos they've done them all round the country and they got as far as Aberdeen the week the album was released, so it's just us left, really.
Your birthday thing was too bloody easy. Try fitting the 19 of 1984 in there, that generally makes it more difficult... actually, if you do that then yours will end up exactly the same as mine.
I have to go off and do some writer's diary thing for the Broken Violin website. Mmmmm, FUN!

King Adora...niiiiiice.
I was listening to Friday Night Explodes(From the album) at the exact same moment I read your info about it being released. Spooky.
I went to the Broken Violin, nice site, and, nice pic.

I hate that picture. I'm going to have to find a new one. And i've had my hair cut since then as well.
I'm trying to get press passes for Glasgow Green. God, I want them so badly...

PS do you think wearing devil horns is seriously in conflict with the 'Good Angel' bit, or shall I say i'm having a 'Lucifer' moment?
So then...
THECASTRATOR Posted Jun 18, 2001
Hope you get the passes. It'd be damn nice to see them.
You could be an angel that wears devil horns, a saintly Demon, or just plain "confused".

Thanks. I wore the horns yesterday and everyone thought I was confused but then I'm generally confused anyway, so there wasn't much difference, in their opinion. The only problem now is that the hairband was so damn tight I've got tender patches behind my ears that are slightly bruised, so I can't wear another head accessory for weeks until they heal again. It was going to be bunny ears next as well ...

THECASTRATOR Posted Jun 20, 2001
Awwwww, poor ears.
Wear a halo for a bit, that'd be nice.

The halo's great, I just trail silver tinsel about behind me, and I forget it's there when I go to put my bag over my shoulder...
So then...
THECASTRATOR Posted Jun 21, 2001
Awwwww, that is really sweet. Well, apart from the bag thing.
You could glue horns on to your halo, that would be bizarre, yet sweet IMHO.

Now that would be something. A kind of 2-in-1. I'll definitely think about that. Mum has banned me from wearing the halo in the house because she has to keep hoovering up after me all the time.
So then...
THECASTRATOR Posted Jun 22, 2001
How can she ban you? One look at your angelic face with a little halo over it is surely enough to make her go "Awwwwwwww, go on, wear it in the house."

She's been looking at my angelic face for nearly the last 17 years and it hasn't affected her yet. And, to her, messing up the carpet is a cardinal sin, alongside leaving blu-tack stuck to the wall so that it discolours the paint and not fixing the cushions properly. She's a bit OCD about neatness.
So then...
THECASTRATOR Posted Jun 25, 2001
Then she must be blind!
I can sort of see her point about the carpets, but the blu-tack? and the cushions? But much, really.

She did have to get glasses last week actually... but no! You're just being sweet It's not that angelic. Trust me, you haven't met me yet.
She is a bit much, cos I'm not neat at all, but it's just her way. I can live with it. She's been a bit more lax recently in that my bedroom has been a state for three days and she hasn't said anything yet.
So then...
THECASTRATOR Posted Jun 27, 2001
I'm not just being sweet, I'm being truthful too.
Anyway...
My parents have also decided to slowly stop caring about the mess in my room, everything all over the place, though I can find anything in an instant.
Oh, I won't be posting for about 2 weeks - Holiday in the sunny place that they call Florida. I yearn for Winter conditions - Cold, dark, and moonlight almost throughout the day.
It'll never happen though.
So, until then, Adios. So long and thanks for all the fish. Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast. I'll be back. Various other film/book/song quotes.

Florida...Man, I hate hot weather. The way I look at it is it's easier to warm yourself up in winter than it is to cool down in summer, (short of standing in front of an open fridge door all day, in which case you stand a good chance of all the food going off). And I hate it when it stays light practically all night, that's not real time. And is it a coincidence that my current favourite Belle & Sebastian song is 'Waiting For The Moon To Rise'?
"Now a new day comes, clears the darkness out of sight, and the shadows that were sleeping come and dance beneath the light. And I'm trying hard to hide, keep the sun out of my eyes, close them tight; and now I'm waiting for the moon to rise"...
Ciao, bon voyage, Non Timetis Messeor (oooh, latin dictionary time), whatever.

Oooh, 3 hours till the flight to London(Tomorrow - Ammericuh[Y'all]).
I'm extremely tired, probably caused bya school trip to Alton Towers yesterday(Argh). Thursday morning at 1Am we left and got back thursday at 10Pm, add to that being awake since Wednesday morning 7Am, and it's just insanity.
Well, my minidisc is fully charged, my discs all waiting to be listened to, and I have loads of CDs for the car.
I hate hot weather too - In cold weather, you look normal trying to keep warm with a big coat on, but if you see someone putting ice cubes all over their body, you try avoid them.
Aaaaaanyway...
I'll see you in 2 weeks(I said that last time), but with any luck I'll find an internet cafe, or something. And hopefully I'll keep my nice complete and utter paleness, but I doubt it.
I can't think of any other way of saying "bye", so I'll just say "Bye".
Bye.

I'm back!
Well, that was, ok...ish.
I listened to King Adora lots(Of course) and thought of the first person I met who had actually heard of them, but not only that, liked them too. This person was of course you and induced lots of "Awwww, she wears a halo and devil horns. Awwwwwwwww."
Anyway...If you really want to know more about it, just ask away.

Was it very sunny? And warm? And full of really really annoying Americans?
I'm still in a bit of a mood cos my friend Claire met both Feeder and the Manics at Glasgow airport on Sunday evening, and IT WAS THEM WHO RECOGNISED HER! She'd interviewed Feeder for the fanzine and Grant came up to her and went "Hello, it's Claire isn't it?" However, I can't hate her too much...
I also got an e-mail from Mark Beaumont at NME congratulating me on my fantastic taste in music because he'd read the fanzine as well; which meant I have been hyperactive for the last four days, telling absolutely everyone I meet that I got e-mailed by an NME journalist. Life is pretty good, actually, although I don't think Martyn from King Adora likes me because I have two sets of KA badges: one Martyn I lost and the other fell apart, whilst the others are all still fine .
Key: Complain about this post
