Cool, did he...scare you like he scares everyone?
Oh, and did you ask Gillian about me?
So then...
Good Angel - recently become obsessed to the point of psychosis with the film 'Bio-Dome' Posted Oct 9, 2001
Yeah, she kinda remembers.
He didn't scare me too much. I think I was too far gone by that time.

You should have said Hi
I would have come over and we could have mumbled slightly drunkenly together. (I was actually less drunk on Friday than any day of Freshers week but that doesn't mean I was sober) I had a fairly crap night on Friday anyway but the films on Monday were cool.
PS. Castrator, Eels you say? Barrowlands you say? Soon you say? Fantastic. Shame I have no money or anyone to go with but I will be pleased at the knowledge that the presence of the great "E" is in our glorius city. (mumblegrumbleshouldhaveplayedtheQMgrumblemumble)
So then...
THECASTRATOR Posted Oct 9, 2001
Hmmm. The Eels thing has been cut short due to the following reasons:
No-one wants to go.
Parents tell me that "They'd prefer me not to go" - Ie. "You're not going due to the knifings! Argh!"
I hate my life and everything to do with it.
I will however, be going to the gig at Stamperland church hall at 7:30PM on saturday the 13th.
Go...oh yes.
Yours,
Me.

Two questions.
What knifings?
What gig?
I need to know (about the gig, of course, not the knifings, I'm not involved in that, of course, really...)
So then...
THECASTRATOR Posted Oct 10, 2001
The knifings that don't exist.
The gig - Chase and NSL(Possibly a couple of others, and we'll be walking out on NSL as they have a song celebrating the deaths incurred due to the attacks on America.), they're both local bands from Williamwood and a couple other schools.
It's at 7:30 this saturday, at Stamperland Church Hall. Only £2.50
Both of you come, or whatever...
Yours,
Me.

I was going to say hi and i did try to wave feebly a few times but you didn't notice and my legs weren't really up to the task of running down the stairs after you, considering that it took me half an hour to walk from the QMU to Hillhead underground.
My mum isn't worried so much about knifings as rapings.
oooh, might see Caldo tonight. And may i recommend Cinefilm. They're supporting the Electric Soft Parade soon, and they're fab

Hi,
Angel, would you mind helping me with something. I'm supposed to be writing an article on Freshers week for the QM magazine and will need to interview some freshers on their experiences of it. Would you mind answering a few questions (and if possible, get some friends to) as it would be a great help.
PS. If you are talking about fantastic local bands! Once again, may I reiterate the sheer amazingness of "Vici."

Good Angel - recently become obsessed to the point of psychosis with the film 'Bio-Dome' Posted Oct 16, 2001
i'll do anything for publicity, as long as it doesn't involve a photo. and i can probably get another 4 people to do it (ross from cinefilm - he's a fresher again!, gillian, farrah and someone else...)
So then...
THECASTRATOR Posted Oct 16, 2001
Look out for Del Murray, he probably has some pearls of wisdom.

Cinefilm. Thursday nite. King Tut's. You know you want to. Ross asked me to be a podium dancer...
So then...
THECASTRATOR Posted Oct 30, 2001
Was it good?
Oh, also - 15th(I think)of December at King Tut's - King Adora.
Nice.

In one week,
I said "Hi" to Som Wardener from "My Vitriol" and was replied with a confused "do I know you" stare.
I talked to the lead singer of "Four Star Mary" (the band from Buffy) okay, I didn't say much but I nodded my head at him while he talked to me and some friends before being dragged off by the bass player (sadly not actually Seth Green)
I almost tripped up the guitarist from OPM on the stairs. From listening to the music I was tempted to but they are supposedly decent guys even if musically incompetent.
Okay it's not much but it's a start. I really should have bought that camera...

Argh! No update in ages!
In the last few weeks(Or months? Christ, it's been ages...) a lot has happened.
1) I have now got 3 conditionals from Glasgow, Aberdeen and Dundee(I think 3. To be honest, I have a terrible memory and I've forgotten. Blegh) who want 3 Bs, 3 Bs and 2 Bs respectively. I'm fairly happy about it.
2) I've been expanding my music-y stuff. I now have the new Radiohead live thingummy and a whole load of new Mp3's ranging from Inkubus Sukkubus to AFI, Rammstein to Bach and so on.
3) School parent's evening was a success.
4) Few depressing things...ho hum.
5) Girlfriend. Yay me. She's loverly.
I really should have gone to the King Adora thing...urgh, *Apologises profusely* Sounded particularly fantastic, though.
Ohhhh, I'm getting a bass guitar for Chrimbo. If the need for a name arises, Martyn is always a good name. *Checks Vibrate You's cover thingummy* Ah, thought not, Robbie's the bassist...that makes the name ironic. And damned good.
Anyways, Happy Christmas/capitalist-moneymaking-scheme to you all.
I thank yo.

...And a merry little Yuletide to all my pagan pals!
How are you, Mr Castrator, the updates have been rather thin on the ground.
Great news about the conditionals, you may yet be joining us in the sacred place known as the QMU.
Rammstein to Bach (nice mix.) I freaked out someone in Fopp who saw me simultaniously pricing the Dido and the System of a Down albums. I eventually stuck to the Pixies, Nirvana, the Eels and the Prodigy but I was tempted by REM, Radiohead and PJ Harvey. I was actually listening to Rammstein in the QM a couple of weeks ago. I may even have learnt some German (to compete with learning french from Air and Spanish from the Pixies.)
I like Bach, but I prefer Rachmaninov. Beethoven and Wagner are also cool. (especially if you like A Clockwork Orange)
Bass guitar, hmm, nice. I haven't played my guitar in ages. I should get the B*****d out again soon (I'm not being disrespectful to such a beautiful instrument, B*****d is it's name.)
I saw Lord of the Rings on a premiere. Uuuuhhh! I now know what a Balrog looks like. And it wasn't disapointing. Big scary f**ker!
Irony's great (although how do you know I'm not being Ironic.) Ho-hum!

THECASTRATOR Posted Jan 2, 2002
It's times like these that I wish a number of things:
1) I replied more to H2G2 stuff.
2) There is no number two.
To the one they (Don't) call Bob - 3)a) You replied to my sodding e-mails.
To the one they (Don't) call Bob - 3)b) Your e-mail thing doesn't put my e-mails in the junk mail thing.
4) I had some sort of direction.
5) I didn't get depressed all the time.
6) I didn't promise to Kara not to hurt myself.
7) I made sure to wish for unlimited wishes.
And possibly a few others.
Argh!
ARGH!
And so on.
*Ponces about a bit*
Now, OK, cool, funky...
New year was fun, got all drunkio-ed, and from what I remember; I fell over because I thought it would be funny to do so, I told everyone that I loved them then I shouted "No, wait! I love Kara more than you! Argh!", told everyone that I love Kara(Repeatedly), and not much else of note.
Hope it was fun for you two, and in the spirit of nothing else to say, I shall depart.
Yours,
Me.

I had a kinda naff new year (I'm practising not swearing since H2 always censors me and it's a skill worht learning in case you ever have to work with children or old ladies) I also sort of got drunk and fell over but for different reasons.
Sorry for not replying to emails but if you were on h2 more often then the email would be rather redundant.
Had some sort of direction? You do have direction, North! Keep heading north untill you freeze to death. Like Scott of the Antartic (although that was South, duh?) You see, sometimes it's better to have no direction. I know I don't. I try to set great goals and journeys but they always end in Jims Bar usually with me drunkenly crying into some gullible young womans lap. You see, when everyone has a crap life, your's doesn't seem so bad.
As was so poignantly put by both Homer (Simpson) and Damon Albarn : Woohoo!
Why are you depressed anyway? You've got ambition and a girlfriend. I'm lacking both currently and I've still mananged to avoid thinking about raiding the kitchen drawer for at least 48 hours.
Always wish for more wishes, It's the only way.
...and don't ponce around so much, you muppet!
Backflips over the horizon and twists and ankle while humming "Smoke on the water" by Deep Purple.
