I wish I was allowed to drink beer as I would love to sample the best local real ale and then have to choose which one is my favourite.

If national beer day had been scheduled for, say, late July, I would have happily drunk some. April is not beer-drinking weather to me.

Drat, entirely missed it. I'm not sure if it is celebrated in Canuck-land.

If it is celebrated in Canada, one of the better ways of observing it is to watch "Strange brew"

Turns out, April 7 *was* national beer day in Canada. But you have another chance on the first Friday in August, which is International beer Day.

I have seen Strange Breww more than once. In high school, I watched Monty Python on week nights to avoid the news and SCTV on the weekend to avoid SNL, unless Martin Short was included in the cast.
I will not drink beer, though. Ales, stouts, wine, hard cider, Jameson's but not beer.
