Writing a daily journal in November will require at least an outline. here's what I plan to do:
I'm helping a nephew celebrate his 42nd birthday, and I apologize for not having a gift for him.
"Not to worry, Uncle, your gift can be helping me write a feature article for the travel magazine where I've just been hired. They need a senior citizen who rarely goes far from home. You'd do."
"Uh oh," I say. "Does this mean I'd have to travel, and you would write about my progress?"
"Yes. All expenses paid, staying in luxury hotels and eating the best food."
"There must be a catch."
"You will travel around the world in 30 days, using different mode of transportation each day."
1. Drive a Subaru Forester to Provincetown. Load luggage onto a yacht that rivals L Ron Hubbard's yacht, but without any Scientologist bgiwigs.
2. Water skiing behind the yacht.
3. Riding a dolphin along the Gulf Stream
4. Sailing in the yacht until about 30 miles from the Southeast coast of England
5. Rowing a boat to shore
6. Taking a crowded, noisy, smelly bus to Dunkirk or wherever
7. Taking a Ferry across to Calais
8. Travelling by hot air balloon to Paris
9. Travelling by the Disoriented Express from Paris to some Middle Eastern country that has camels
10. Riding by camel to India
11. changing to elephant for a cross-India trek to New Delhi
12. Bring on the rickshaws for a trek to Kolkatta
13. Fly to Hong Kong
14. Take a turbo-charged submarine to Maui
15. Paraglide to San Francisco
16. Jog to Sacramento
17. Hitchhike on an 18-wheeler to Denver
18. Travel on an upscale raft down the South Platte and Missouri Rivers as far as Saint Louis
19. Board a paddle wheeler and float down to New Orleans
20. Ride in a RV to Houston
21. Get on the Space Shuttle and come back down at Cape Canaveral in Florida
22. travel by helicopter to Atlanta
23. travel by skateboard as far as Charleston, South Carolina
24. Put on a pair of turbo roller skates for a fast ride to Richmond, Virginia.
25. ride a Motorized wheelchair to Washington, D.C.
26. ride a wheelbarrow as far as Trenton
27. ride in the sidecar of a motorcycle as far as New York City
28. Take the MTA to a coastal town on Long Island.
29. get abducted by extraterrestrials, which will let you go in downtown Boston
30. Walk home

You may reconsider #6: When you get to Dunkirk you already are in France.
Good luck with bribing the good people at NASA so they'll take one of the space shuttle out of mothballs and send it into space again.
Bon voyage

I will probably rethink several of them as I go along. There's a solar-powered enclosed tricycle that can go up to 30 miles per hour if you pedal. I could use that to get to the docks in Boston on the first day. The Subaru Forester could then be used instead of one of the other options later on. But before anyone suggests an actual bicycle or moped, I can't ride those darn things
The rickshaw probably can't get me far enough on the day when I will be using it. I may need to delve deeply into fantasy and have Santa Claus step in with his sleigh. Hey, none of this is ever going to really happen, anyway.

There may be a cross-ocean day when I need greater speed than I'm likely to get, so Poseidon's hand might have to pick me up and deposit me where I want to go.

Good ideas, Thinker
Austrian Felix Baumgartner (who once held the skydiving records for exit altitude) became the first person to skydive across the English Channel using a specially made carbon fiber wing
Maybe you can use Baumgartner's idea, paulh

On average, I would need to travel more than 500 miles per day [15,000 divided by 30], so a zip line that's less than that would need to be compensated for on some other day. The one airplane ride would need to be over the Pacific, as there would be few other ways of covering that many miles on the ocean itself.
When the Station [a nightclub in Rhode Island] burned, dozens of severely burned victims needed skin grafts as soon as possible. Someone from a skin bank in Texas drove night and day to get to Rhode Island. I think they got there in less than 24 hours, but it was close,.
