24hr is more logical but is unfortunately impractical in today's 12hr society.

24 just messes with my head too much. When I travelled to Israel several years ago, I kept a watch set at my home time on a 24 hour clock, and local on a 12 hour clock. Just made things more confusing.

When I try to figure out 24 hour time I always have to convert it to 12 hour time to figure out what time it *really* is.

- I can remember being taught the 24 clock at primary school!
I admit it used to fox me how we were supposed to tell the time using numbers that weren't on the clock but I quickly came to realise that the numbers just continued round the face the same as the other numbers following on from 12. By this point I could already count fairly high so going 11, 12....13, 14, 15, 16 etc wasn't too difficult.
and now, it's second nature. 16:27 - and I just *know* it's almost half-past four in the afternoon for example.

I can do it... but it takes time...
::: cue a clip of Gook staring at a clock for a full minute :::

I know you just add 12 to get 24 hour time, and subract 12 to get 12 hour time... it's just a nuisance.

(s'ok Lady S you're frogiven)
yeh but, you still put it back into 12hr time, you still said nearly half past 4 in the afternoon so the brain is always using the 12hr clock anyway.

But I'm in the US and over here the only ones who use 24 hour time are military types... so I'm *really* not used to having to do all that.

I think we need to switch to a 10 hour day. It's the extra two that throws everyone off!

Then you can use the 14 extra hours at the end of the week for an extra half-day on the weekend.

Yes, but we'd need to have 100 minutes in an hour, and 100 seconds in a minute.

Really, you can find anything you like to equip yourself here in the Armoury. Funny little quirk of space time allows every concieveable object to be located within this place. Don't forget the traditional Thingite sidearm of the Titanium Spork!
