Maybe you're just becoming more of a lurker. I personally like to have you around though, so, please, don't leave entirely.

I seem to be fading too. Well, at least come and visit the blog. Otherwise I shall be forced to miss you!

It's highly unlikely that I'd ever actually leave. I mean my user details - number, username, password - are more heavily ingrained in my memory than that of my own home phone number and my car's registration plate! So you can see that this place is well under my skin.
No, what's happened is a change around in the amount of time that I have available to do stuff, and maybe a change or two in my motivations and priorities.

>>It's highly unlikely that I'd ever actually leave<<
Glad to hear it GD
There does seem to be a lot of the old guard leaving or being onsite less this year
Is there a reason for using your U number rather than your name?

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho Posted Jul 19, 2006
I often get a little worried and concerned when a good friend 'clears their desk' (read 'Personal Space'). No pun intended btw.
Of course, sometimes is a precusrsor to a rebirth

Yes, your desk is a little *too* tidy.
I had noticed I hadn't seen you around lately. I hope your other priorities are worthwhile
Looking forward to the redecorating.

Hi GD,
I meant to say hello after the meet, but was a bit busy with my new duties here
It was really nice to meet you, and I hope the fact that you're currently without a name only means that you're looking for something else in a different language, which we talked about at the meet
You'll probably laugh at me, but I've actually thought about other names. 'Grauer Schreibtisch' is much too clumsy, but if I think of something poignant, I'll come back to you

Don't vanish completely!
<---bribe
Too many of my friends here have hit the wide blue yonder (or found something interesting in RL) and I miss them. I'd miss you too, GD.

I know exactly what you mean GD. Same's happening to me. I came back, but somehow....
A few postings here and the odd Journal entry there... I don't think I'll ever entirely leave either, but I don't feel the same sense of urgency or commitment.

It seems a lot of the gang and familiar faces are here a lot less (and I am not exactly innocent in this regard either) Like you all I cant quite let go and quite franky I dont want to - there are some amazing people here and I would hate to loose tough totally. I guess its like all social groups in our life - the balance of time we spend with them changes as time goes on and our lives change. Hopefully we can stay intouch with friends either here on on email
GD - I hope you are enjoying the other motivations and priorities and I look forward to discovering more about them
So dont you go vanishing GD - or anyone else for that matter

Goodness - is it that time already?!? I remember when it did not start until after my birthday (ie end of August)

I think it'd be a real shame if you vanished totally, Deskers. It's probably just a phase - I tend to disappear occasionally myself, but it's nice to have somewhere to come back to.

Personally I've enjoyed the freedom of being able to post without a sarky comment from Mr Desk following immediately behind
No, not really. Honest
