h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hello there people of Thingite... thingy type stuff... anyway hello...

Right as you guys are the last group I know definately has a lot of people on it regularly, I felt a need to post this and I thought it was something that would seriously interest you.

Right I'll start from the beginning, for it is a very good place to start... I was writing a journal entry (here : F96950?thread=3364212) about how I didn't know what was going on in the h2g2 community, and I had a brainwave... now these are usually very dangerous and can occasionally end up with half a wellington boot down your mouth, but anyway I had an idea...

And it was this : a newpaper about things that actually happen on h2g2. Things that you've experienced on here... whimsical, serious, entertaining...whatever something you've read a person you want to tell about, even publishing conversations... telling people about groups... maybe even a representative from each major group (could be different each time, or just every now and then), or even smaller groups who knows...

It would be like a focus for people to easily find out whats going on on h2g2. These ideas are flowing too fast and there are so many ways that we could do this, but I just feel that this is bigger than me, and isn't really just an idea for me, but something that all of h2g2 could get involved in, and something I think the Thingites as a group could have a huge contribution to... and well the page I've created so far just really as a stop gap is here (Temporarily called the Four Corners of h2g2) :

I really hope someone picks this up, and it isn't missed in the overnight posting traffic... actually I might just post in the morning if there are no posts. Argh... theres just so much mileage with this...

Anyway I've introduced the idea... I'd like to get some other ideas flowing... get all these things merging and hopefully come up with something creative!
