I weep for a hand
Whose sweet familiar touch
Is lost in shadows.

It is biting and rusty-
dry autumn wind on my bones

I look to the sky,
Wishing for the spring rain of
Beloved's laughter.
(be-love-ed)--3 syllables, not be-loved, which is 2)
I don't care, but will assume the first until told otherwise.

With blankets of loneliness.

Your love unheaded.
Falls abused among dead leaves.
Unrequited love.
As this thread has been silent for a looong while, I suggest we go back to calling new topics after each poem. If you wish you can always continue with the love theme...but as it's as dead as the love mentioned above, I don't think that's likely.
New Topic: Overtime

All love, over time,
Lies headless among the leaves.
Silence decaying.

This is my first attempted haiku, so lets see what happens...
To survive at sea,
One must look at the fishes,
They can drink the water.
I think thats right.
New Topic: Bells

Hi murifri,
forgive an old haiku slogger for pedantry, but your last line has one syllable too many.It would read just as well as:
"they can drink water."
So, "Bells"?
A robin twitters,
blackbirds shrill and a bell rings,
in perfect silence.
nt: silence.
