Checking in after the weekend. For some reason, I wasn't hung over yesterday. I must have done something wrong. I have to find out what I did wrong til the next meet and then fix it.
Good to see that so many people got home safely, and I'm already looking forward to the next meet-up.
Good luck, have fun!

Hee, hee, hee. Nice photo's guys
I wonder who DD is refering to?
Wumbeevil, some of these photo's are highly weird, I did wonder why you kept disappearing off to the bog with camera in hand
Good luck, have fun!
Munchkin Posted Jan 8, 2001
Well I didn't have a hangover either, but then I didn't sober up untill I was past Carlisle on the train yesterday. Photos will go up, when I can squeeze the time. Still, the question is, why was Lost taking pictures of a candle?
Good luck, have fun!
Babel17 Posted Jan 8, 2001
Because it was a snuff movie!
Glad you got back down ok, Munchkin, and honestly, I can wait for the photos
Thanks everyone!
Lyns Posted Jan 8, 2001
Hi everyone
What a laugh indeed! I'll never view that escalator in Queen Street Station in the same way again!! Fun's only starting though - more silliness like that to be recorded methinks!
I think the best way to proceed is if, over the next couple of days, anyone has any ideas, drop me an e-mail ([email protected]) or call [Address removed by moderator]. Send as many ideas as you like (no matter how mad - and including anything we've discussed already) Then, at the end of the week, I'll put together a list of the best ones to work on. Obviously everyone who's up for it will be involved in some way (there is no escape - evil chuckle!!) And if you can rope in any Glasgow friends, so much the better.
And thanks to everyone who's already recorded stuff - you're all stars!
Lyns
Thanks everyone!

Hi Lyns
Er, I have a question for you. Is SPINY at work today?
I kind of left him in the lurch a bit, and he had to make his own way back to Queen St. Station. I feel really bad about it, as I had said I'd get him back safely, and then got offered a lift home instead.
Who was I to refuse?
Thanks everyone!
Munchkin Posted Jan 8, 2001
Well, having just seen Wumbeevil's photos, I think I am winning the worst photo award. I look like I've inhaled a blowfish!
Thanks everyone!
Munchkin Posted Jan 8, 2001
Oh, and Lyns, here http://www.h2g2.com/A430020 is the Stone of Destiny article, if you want to link it to the bit about the Arlington pub.
Thanks everyone!
SPINY (aka Ship's Cook) Posted Jan 8, 2001
Wh...where am I? What is this horrible, dark smelly place? Who are these evil-looking people? Babel! What have you done to me? Oh. It's alright. It's just Monday morning at the Beeb.
Nah, Babel, dinna fash yersel, as they say in Aberdeen. (No-one knows why). I got home no bother at all on the 2230. I wasn't as think as you drunk I was. But it was nice of you to worry about me, even though I'm a big boy now! I was more concerned about Munchkin's mate Jamie, who couldn't even stand in a straight line...
Yes, a very worthwhile day, and I can't wait to see the videos and photos. Should have my own photos back tomorrow, but although I can scan them, I don't have a web site to put them on. Any ideas?
Now all I have to do is to get my head around this article on curry.
Thanks everyone!
Babel17 Posted Jan 8, 2001
Easy SPINY, email them to me and I'll post them to my site.
Thanks everyone!
Munchkin Posted Jan 8, 2001
Jamie certainly is the best comedy drunk I've ever seen. I don't think I've actually ever seen him fall over though, which is impressive
Thanks everyone!
Babel17 Posted Jan 8, 2001
By the way, Wumbeevil, I didn't mention it at the time, but remember going up to the bar in Uisge just before we left, to get Caroline the Gin and Tonic, and returning with 3 completely different drinks than those ordered? The barman said "I don't think you should send yer pal back up to the bar, he's quite drunk, and ah wouldna wanna spoil yer night"
Thanks everyone!
Munchkin Posted Jan 8, 2001
Am I the only one who can't see Babel's last message? Gaah, I've gone blind from the alcohol!
Thanks everyone!
Lost in Scotland Posted Jan 8, 2001
Was he really that bad?? *thinks back* Hmmm.. I guess getting him to get drinks might have been pushing it a bit at that time of the night. But what the heck? We had a lot of fun!
Poor postcard, though...
