The Quest to find the oldest h2g2-er

My question is this : Who is was the first person (who wasn't involved in the construction of the site, someone who is a member of Joe Public) to join the site. And if they are no longer active, who is the oldest active member. I open this to the floor if anyone knows...

John posted a couple of days after this list so he would be on it.

So the first member of Joe public has got to be either Peta, 26199, or Snowman. Does anyone know if any of these were a member of the original team?

There could be older members of the public... the list Jim put together showed the oldest researchers who were still active...
AFAIK None of them were staff at the time... Peta of course is now U24, but when the site opened she was U15551, which gives her the lowest, non-italic U number I've seen on the site

So she is the oldest active member. Now who is the oldest member... the quest continues....

Just try
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/NewUsers?TimeUnits=48&UnitType=month&Filter=off
and work your way through the list until you find someone who wasn't a member of staff.
All past and present members of staff can be found here <./>team</.>

Mmm... it didn't start in April then, based on the number of people listed for march...

You'd have to ask Jim Lynn that - presumably, before the launch they would have tested the site out with staff and maybe certain invited guests

I'd like to think that I might in fact be the oldest member of H2G2, I have just celebrated my 76th birthday!

I probably should have worded my question better. I actually mean the longest serving member of h2g2. Though congratulations anyway

I remember the original series of Blackadder when it was made in the 1060s. It starred a young actor called Royston Tummelty who went on to achieve great fame as a producer of great theatre. I never though a great deal of the modern day version of it, although the second series had it's moments.
