So tomorrow I'll leave for holidays.
The main destination in Prague Zoo but I'm sure I'll see a lot of interesting things on the way. And the say the weather is much colder in central Europe. Here it's 35C.
This is not a weather for hatifatteners. May I say that I have been feeling a bit under the weather for few weeks? In any meaning.
But I am still alive for some odd reason. Not really kicking, but never mind that.
What else...
is packed, now I wonder if I should take socks as well. It's so hard to focus on clothes if my only wish is to take off all the clothes and lay myself on the floor and not move at all. Or something like that. It'll probably reach 36C today. It may even beat all time heat record here, which is actually only 35,6C. Yesterday we reached 35,4C.
Yes, in EE people also rant about weather endlessly. And right now we have a lot of weather. Oh yes, and the smoke comes in from Russia.

Anyway, have a nice trip - the city is quite beautiful imho.

Meanwhile they tried to wipe off the whole country here. That was one mighty storm. On top of all flying things a church tower flew away. Scary, in fact. And I was at an outdoor music festival. There the stage just failed to exist. And it all started in few seconds.

On the German/Polish border they are having really freakish weather, too.

We're fine here - not so hot now, not necessarily sunny, but just right for summer.

Oh nice... That's pretty much where we are heading. But as they said - the forecasts are optimistic. I truly hope there's still some dry place to put up a tent.

I should have a serious rethink, Hati. Are you driving or have you booked a flight?

blimey, Hati. Is there any chance you could book into a guest house if the weather is terrible? (we've done that in the past, sometimes camping is just too difficult)

Good grief. That storm sounds awful. Mother Nature is clearly reminding us who's in charge.

After 3 days driving we are in Prague now. The zoo was wonderful, the weather... not so wonderful. Hot and humid, some thunder and rain today. Nothing disastrous though.

Our house is safe. They had to bring some heavy technology to get the village back on the map as all the roads were blocked and just chainsaws were not enough. I haven't heard from my mother still, which probably means that there's still no electrickety there. My daughter talked to her on Monday, she said everything was okay, except that the greenhouse needs some fixing.
And now I must see if I can get some elecktrickety myself...

Glad you liked the zoo. It would have been awful to go that far and then be disappointed.

That really does look like a bit of a mess, Hati. I hope it can all be cleared up without further problems.

No, seriously, looks bad. Hope nothing in general and no one in particular was hurt irreperably.

A lot of things we destroyed, including a lot of trees. But there's another journal entry with photos for that.
Now I am wondering whether I should write something about the trip as well...
