I met an old woman who appeared to be very kind and from my conversation with her I gathered that she was also quite wise and spiritual.
When she mentioned "spirit animals" I asked her what my animal might be. Without hesitating she answered: "Sloth".
I was somewhat taken aback by this brutal honesty but before I could react she added: "Don't worry, my young friend, that is a good animal you have there. Welcome it! Honour it!"
I know she was right

I wonder what sort of animal I might be. Well, the actual animal is human being. Is that good enough?

I honestly don't know if it's a good thing if the spirit of another human is your spirit animal

It's not another human, it's me. I'm an animal.

Ex: - True. Sadly the animal in question is a sloth

This reinforced my trust in the wise old woman I mentioned earlier

My spirit animal should be able to sing. That gives me some choices. But the animal should also read, which very few animals can do. A sense of humor makes sense, allowing for squirrels and dolphins and a fair number of birds.

From watching tv stuff etc, I thought you had to go into some form of induced trance like state ? to find/see your animal spirit etc ?

I've thought of a spirit animal. Here are some clues as to what it might be:

1. It travels far and wide looking for bright, cheerful colors.
2. It loves large, fragrant flowers such as Echinacea, Irises, and Lilies, but petunias will do in a pinch
3. It has a sweet tooth, though it burns off lots of calories.
4. It knows lots of tunes but often forgets the words.
