I think I wanted to make a rant about the heat though.
However, I might get problems with copyright if I write that... eh... "health experts say it takes just two consecutive days of heatwave temperatures to have a significant effect on health"

Maybe that's what doing it to me then. Dozens of times during each workshift I have to walk the 15 paces or so from the bar to shelves where all the clean plates, glasses, cups, utensils, bowls, tubs etc are kept after they've been washed, and nine times out of ten I forget what it was I went for by the time I get there - it takes me all of three or four seconds to make the journey. And we get at least four straight months of weather here in Texas every single year where the daily temperatures are what you would classify as 'heatwave'

So we've got to blame it on the weather, because it can't *possibly* be something wrong with *us*!
I guess we've been having a heatwave too - been in the upper 80's to mid-90's for a couple weeks now.

Gosho, you *do* realise I quoted your journal, right?
I know it's not as bad as Texas here, but then again, this *is* not Texas and these 30°C and above that it has been for some time now is really starting to get me. Wonder how I'll survive work tomorrow. Didn't have to go today, meant to do it anyway, but had to give up.
(That's me sweating, not me crying about not working! )

Its been really hot here too - well for the UK!
Last night and today we have had the most amazing thunder storms. I was parked on the side of the road by the theatre last night and when I went home I had to paddle ankle deep to my car - the road is on a slight hill and the water had come down so fast it had not had a chance to go anywhere yet! Today its all gone but now we are having more thunder and lightening

We've got a nice little run of a heat wave going on here, forecast 37C for today. We're due a short break tomorrow when it will only get to 28, then back up to 32 for the holiday on Monday.
