You'd think I'd know this by my age wouldn't you?
Just after I got up, (preeven), I prepared the bathroom ready for my shower, I *was* going to lighten my hair after Andrew's gone to school, that's after shampoo/no conditioner so I wanted a shower first. I went to get a razor to place on the side of the bath ready for de-fuzzing, and it was a new packet. I opened that OK but when I tried to slide the plastic cover off the end of the razor, it wouldn't budge!Instead of leaving it till I was more awake I went to flip the end and it sprang off, but my thumb went across both blades with enough force to take a slice of skin with it.So there's me, blood dripping into the bathroom sink thinking "Stupid woman!" There go my plans for the day.

Yes, I do. Any volunteers? I just rang my partner and he said I should have been more careful, but worse things happen at sea.

Interesting to note that GB's first reaction to a cut hand is to start typing on her computer...

I use the four-bladed ones that are kept behind 'bars' so there's not much chance of me cutting meself! (not least, because they don't have those irritating plastic covers over them.)
I hope your thumb heals soon, GB. Take more water with it next time! (and a plaster)

I knowthanks I'm OK honest. I just can't stand wet plasters. Plus they're see-through, so I can see all the gunk
The bleeding has stopped, it's just weeping.
