Petition!! Peace my friend peace the world has enough of petitions, demonstrations, protests, strikes, etc., etc. and look what happened? The tigers and lions are fighting with greater ferocity than ever before. Surely a simple 'SMILEY' does not require a petition, instead smile your way to it and TPTB might include the three monkeys - , , and .
Cheers, JulyStar.

Well said and I have to agree that if at the end of the rainbow is a pot of gold why not? Consider this quotation from Lao Zi, "If there were no laughter, the Tao would not be Tao." Yes, release the mind and free the spirit.
Long live Smiley, cheers.

The children live with the warlords because they make excellent fighters, especially for tight tunnel sytems

Why don't you weak spineless people realize that there is no God or Allah or "holy land for the chosen ones, Palestinians keep out" We've got just the one planet, we all need to live together and stop wasting time bickering about who follows the better story, Christians, Muslims, Jew , you're all arrogant fools.
There are only two types of people in this world, people who demand things and expect to get them and try using bombs & guns or planes, like a child throwing a tantrum, to get attension, to get their way and people who work for things , and get them.
That's my opinion, it's a free world :o)

It's quite arrogant to dissmiss people's heartfelt beliefs as 'stories'. Though I am an atheist myself I am very aware that that which I believe in is just another set of (largely christian derived) morals.
Giving these belief systems such short shrift is as likely to anger those true believers as people denying evolution/ the holocaust/ etc angers me.
Your heated and unstructured outburst sounds like a tantrum in itself. Arguing that everyone else has to come round to seeing things your way just won't do it Martin. You need to bring true understanding and a will to help change things. Otherwise its just so much inflamatory hot air.

I think there are two kinds of people in this world. Those who divide people into two groups and those who don't.

Hmmm First thing I am going to say is I do not condone terrorism of any sort and the same goes for my religion.
First the guy asking for simpathy in Israel now I know things are hard but what about the palistinians?
Your state are the ones who started the war on them your state is the ones that takes away innocent peoples homes, work, and money with out compensation, your the ones who's solders butcher civilians let me tell you two stories from palestine. I know a bit about this as a dear friend was tortured by the Israelie state.
There is a curfew on Palestine and anyone out after that time is shot. Fine thats reasonable you say. Well here is my first true story:
There was this family and one day the mother was very ill and needed a docter urgently. There was no phone in the house so a boy of 7 years went to go to a pay phone and was caught by Israel soldiers. They did not ask what he was doing they shot him dead on the spot.
Second story which took place a few years ago there was a riot on the streets israel solders with machine guns and palestin freedom fighters with a few guns and rocks. A man and his son was caught in this engagment they were civilian innocents what happened.
They cowered against a wall where Israel soldiers shot at the farther. He got hit three times I think it was he lived. His son in front of his eyes was shot in the stomach and the solders did not call for a ambalance. That man watched his son bleed to death can you imagine that. Being powerless to save your son.
If you wish I would go on.

No offence or anything, but I live in Ireland, and we've had it for over 30 years, and anyway, I know this might get me into an argument, but I think the Israelis are doing more damage to the Palastinans, and I think the PLO are doing the right thing by trying to get their land back.

The only reason we have terrorism and war is simply this, we can't leave each other alone.
Vietnam, Korea, WW2, WW1 and now even the "War" on Terrorism.
The War on Terrorism is in short George Bush asserting himself in a vengeful way so as to apologize to the "civilized" world.
Had we let it run itself down by simply assassinating these terrorists we wouldn't have had dead civilians or friendly-fire incidents. And now old Georgie-boy wants to decimate Iraq in what he calls a war on terror. There is little or no terror left in Iraq, no weapons, nothing to threaten the US. George Bush is going to Iraq to avenge the free world and to get some nice money-making oil.
One of the greatest tragedies in the US's history, the assassination of John F. Kennedy took place by order of Nixon(a proven but denied fact) because Kennedy wanted out of Vietnam. This is technically a bad thing because, in the long run, war makes money and money is all that matters in the end.

If you ask me truth is a relative term that means what the majority believes or what someone believes to be the "truth" as it were.
