Samson.
Samson was put down this morning. 
He has been getting worse for weeks now. He has not been using his back legs properly for a long time, and he has been looking generally unwell for even longer. I think it began soon after Joey died.
Last night it looked like the circulation to his back legs was going, and it was slightly worse this morning.
I think it was the best for him... I hope it was...

Samson was the lazy rat of the two. He was the biggest and definitely the fattest, no matter how much I tried to put him on a diet. A gentle giant, really. He was the one who'd sit happily on my shoulder or on my lap whilst Joey explored. He was the more sweet-natured of the two of them, and never once put his teeth round my finger. He even fell asleep on my lap once.

Ming!! I'm not going to give you the normal "I'm sorry" because (at least when it happens with humans) to me, its slightly annoying that these people are saying "sorry" - Clichéd even..
but anyway, if I could remember that word beginning with "C" that means something.. oh wait.. its arrived at my head.. My condolences to you 
(unless that means sorry - or especially if it means sorry if you dont get annoyed by people saying sorry at times like this)

its always sad. I'm worried about my dog Tess and one of my cats Marmalade. They are good ages, well above the life expectancy for their breeds, it just seems at times to be really bad, others they seem fine. I'm sorry again Ming Mang
