I think it would work as long as you remember to wake up! But maybe we're sleeping anyway.

If itworked, how would we know?
If it worked and all the world was sane
what a strange insane place the world would be !!
or maybe I am just dreaming ??

Maybe we're all just dreaming.
Isn't the world already a strange insane place?

It's as real as you think it is. Same as a dream.

Weird stuff happens in both places.

Did you not see the matrix?

Anyway,

What if your life is more deranged than dreams? (I spent some of chrsitmas floating paper boats down a river, convinced they woulnt sink. They did. I was most upset.)

My theory is simply that we're all nuts, but some of us(namely admitted fans of scinece fiction, nerds and geeks. I am a member of all 3 groups) are better at admiting it than others. Doesn't that explain a lot?

Would it work? Of course it would look at all of the examples in the real world, yes religion, politics, history, Hollywood, New York cargo pants, Microsoft, the 'education' system, tae bo, and the latest Star Wars film, they are all mad (and none of these were even that good).

So, what are you going to do about it, you can't self medicate, you have to pay a carefully calculated amount of money (about 7% more than you can actually afford to pay on the vernal equinox as assessed by a goldfish on caffeine who was watching a taped copy of Woodstock, while the moon, oh what the hell, you already know the rest) to be told that it was all because you had a thing for your mother and your dad got in the way...I think I'll stick with self medicating at least I don't have to laugh at German humour (sorry a Freudian slip, and more insanity). To tell you the truth, I like Ford Prefect's spin on the problem, anyway I'm off for a gin and tonic....

They could render anyone insame for a bit, eh?

Depends on what sort of bubbles...thers champagne bubbles, I would have to agree with you there. Then there's the day after beer bubbles (home made spa), I would have to agree, especially if they weren't fatal....

Being rendered insensible is always a nice reprieve from daily life. It's just the coming back that hurts. Even when you're talking about the matrix. Hehe.

Post 18

A temporary reprieve is always nice, but yes coming back is no picnic whatsoever. If only therre was a permanent non fatal, non illegal way of escaping, bring on terra forming!!!! If only!?!

It really all depends on what sort of reality you're coming back to, and how you departed it. It you got drunk, well, of course coming back is horrible, because you are so dehydrated that the fluids around your brain are gone and it is banging against your skull. However, if the stupor is induced by lack of sleep or a mood, it can be quite fun. Especially if you get to go to bed right away.

To the dear departed...dehydration also has its moments, but so to does drowning I have heard. Yes there is nothing quite like waking up to the smeel of a city surrounded by factories to make you want to leave reality...or the city for that matter...Ohh well lokks like I am stuck here.

BTW why did you change your name from the mysterious queen of the penguins your highness, that was a catchy name?
