I've just made an entry in the Song Title thread, which gave me this idea:
Why don't we swap YouTube songs, or oer YouTube clps, and possibly say why you chose the one you did? (You don't have to do any explaining if you don't want to - just name the clip perhaps). I'd certainly be interested in being introduced to good clips I didn't know about. We could get a lot of enjoyment out of this, even though our tastes won't be identical.
Apologies to those who can't access YouTube, though.
I'll kick off with this one, which has a great tune and marvellous humane words, brilliantly sung by Joan Osbourn - What If God Was One Of Us. I think it was a hit in the early 90's.
It expresses a human and humane view of God, far more humane than many religious people believe. You don't have to believe at all though, because it expresses an even more tender view of people/us. It's not strictly a religious song.

Hope you enjoy it

And this piece of music from Vangelis is an all time favorite. It is stunningly beautiful. It is called L'Enfant.

Thanx JEllen! Keep 'em coming (I'm off to bed zzz)
I saw Peter Gabriel when he was just starting, sharing a gig (Genesis) with Free at Warwick University. Free were fantastic, Genesis sadly not. He was an unmentionable prat then in tights and a fool's outfit and with a flute, but he then got spectacularly better. In this clip he was excellent. He's still a bit strange though, apparently.
Just thought I'd share that with you.

Pierce - it's the fault of my typo -'YouTube songs, or oer YouTube clps.'
I meant YouTube songs or other clips.
Your clip was certainly amazing. Then good old Abba, and - Lofts - it was a good groove background on your clip. These clips are all brilliant.
Here's a fantastic rocker from the 70's - Joe Walsh, cult superhero. Here recorded while he guest starred with The Eagles:

I love the lyrics of Dido's White Flag. A lovely song about the the inability to let go of a love that has pretty much ended.

In the same sort of melancholy pop vein, I love the lyrics of Ordinary World. Here's an excerpt, and then the link.
Came in from a rainy Thursday
on the avenue
thought I heard you talking softly
I turned on the lights, the TV
and the radio
still I can't escape the ghost of you
What has happened to it all?
Crazy, some'd say
Where is the life that I recognize?
But I won't cry for yesterday
there's an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
and as I try to make my way
to the ordinary world
I will learn to survive

Please ignore the silly visuals. (What a weird dress) And don't laugh just because it is Duran Duran.

Speaking of the Beatles, have you heard Paul's Liverpool Oratorio? Unusual classical piece.
