The very last bit in the credits was unnecessary, just panning out to finish would have been better.

A cracking film nonetheless. I do like the bit where.... Nah, you'll all just have to go see it.smiley - smiley

Aw, come on, just a hint as to which part you liked. Just enough that someone who's seen it would know what you're talking about....

And my friends agree with you about the bit in the credits. But if you want to talk about screwed-up credits, how about Blair Witch? "Yes, this is genuine footage...no, pay no attention to the stuff at the end that says "Director" and all that...."

I haven't seen Blair Witch, as its only just been released over here but I hope to see it fairly soon.

As forThe Matrix, I really like it towards the end when Neo realises how good he is and starts fighting the AI character Smith, that and the metal detector scene. Top actionsmiley - smiley

Well I hardly went to see it to find out the meaning of life. A little mindless violence is a nice way to relax sometimes, so long as you don't have to exert yourself.

In other words, as long as you aren't participating in the violence yourself. Very true.

Participating in violence can be fun (though not relaxing) too. So long as the violence is properly controlled, in sports such as martial arts or the more common team games such as soccer, rugby, hockey, ice hockey or American football.

Or fencing.

Post 9

Dancing Ermine

Fencing is good, I would have liked to have seen some in the film. I do like those swashbuckling tales like "The Princess Bride" or "The Three Musketeers", and I really should go and see "The Mask Of Zorro".

I thought I saw you mention it elsewhere.

I like the spaniard:

"You killed my Father now I'll kill you!"

And

"But I'm not left handed either, I was just giving you a chance"

Or words to that effect. I haven't seen it in a few years.

It's full of great lines. The "battle of wits" scene is terrific.

I found this site devoted to the Princess Bride:

Thought you might be interested.

There are a few Cary pictures hanging around and a good set of chicken jokes. Just to entice you to visit.
