You mean that after only 18 months and one week of discussion, we've finally SETTLED ON A NEW NAME?!?
Isn't that a bit hasty?
please, Menz. I need to keep my strength up if I'm going to keep getting shocks like that!

*pours *
Here you go Ormy.
And we haven't settled on a permanent new name, but this one will do for a while. And lets face it I'd been trying on the old one for far too long. Look, I'd even worn holes in the knees.

Soooo, if it doesn't matter what you call it...

The pub sign could be a fairy playing a fiddle to a cat. When the Community Art scheme finally opens its doors, Menza needs to get in there quick with the request.

Look, here, the important thing or not, and I think we're all missing it quite frankly is wether or not we can get any of these:
no matter what this pub's called,
and oh, god that's good...
<
that's all i'm >hic< saying...
is the name doesn't really matter >hic< it's the people...
fine people >hic< like yourselves >hic<
so name debate be damned... >hic< lets do some some drinking,
some, >hic< some bonding >hic< some connecting on a personal level,
>hic<
and some drinking.
>hic<
damned hiccups,
thass a good stout....

It's not fiddling with fairies, it's fairies fiddling... musically Oooh a fairy could be sat on a little toadstool playing the fiddle to Kitty, that'd look fun ...and I could play Kylie

That fun dancing arcade game? that'd be quiet amusing actually...
Oh btw peregrin wishes to add that he's going to start a campaign to get this renamed the Fairy and Falcon and if this happens he'll fully endorse the place and provide lots of extra funding for more beer and stuff...

I rather liked Fin and Feathers, but hasn't that already been taken?
The Dolphin-Dragon Drink & Dance Hall? (Just think what we could do with the sign for -that- one! ) We could even incorporate a fiddling fairy and feline dancer

I think menza's intent on keeping F&F though he might be swayed with that
And whats clever EV, Peregrin's attempts at bribary? I think this was the first place we met, aaah such memories

I meant that the Fairy & Falcon was clever, but now you mention it, the bribery aspect is quite clever too.

how about all the things beginning with F take it in turns, so that we retain the F&Fness of the place but still have the temporary-name-ness and the share-and-share-about-ness?
So far we have fairy, feline, fiddle, falcon, fin... any other takers?
We could also get it renamed to suit special occasions, if we wish.

I know a word beginning with F, but I doubt if you'd be allowed to use it.

Actually I've toyed with variations on that word but Figured it would go aFoul of the F*in Fiends with the red ink in any Form, so I Forged ahead. :>
