Has anyone created an experiment in some sphere?

I did a silly "experiment" when I was a young college student. I carried a clipboard with me and would ask friends a strangers, "What do you think?"

The top two most common replies were, "I don't know" and "nothing". This was rather disappointing. Most of the other answers were creative non sequiturs like "banana creme sausage on rye" and "snorkle snorkle snot grot".

After a week or two as I was getting bored with this, I asked a friend from high school (the girl I had a huge, unrequited, crush on) and she was the only one to realize there was an actual correct answer.

She replied, "thoughts".

Thinking is overrated, thoughts doubly so.

I've been having migraines for years didn't realise that what they were though because what I knew about migraines was they were very painful and you had to take to your bed in a darkened room. Just mentioned it once to my doc who pointed out that it's a migraine and now I know the pain seems much worse smiley - erm

I've also found that if you pretend you can't hear teenagers after ten minutes you actually can't hear them! Fabulous!! smiley - rofl

I thought I had migraines for years. I'd get skull splitting headaches that would last for a day, with me lying still on the sofa, in the dark, watching TV at low volume. But I never had nausea or the "flashes" which are often associated with migraines. My best guess now is that these were exacerbated sinus headaches associated with a skull base tumor (now removed).

Headaches are very hard to diagnose.

When I get the nausea and flashes, I may or may not get the horrible headaches. My blood pressure medicine seems to make migraines less likely or less acute.

Oliver Sacks said they were rage headaches and what does anger do? It raises your blood pressure. I got them for twenty years and believe me I was raging that nobody could see the worth of my language books, which meant I couldn't get a publisher or financial backing. I also couldn't get anyone to turn the idea into a computer program, which made me rage even more (I can send emails, write posts, surf the net and write documents but that is my limit - another cause of frustration was not understanding how to use a computer, to produce what I wanted - where do I find what I need to do so-and-so and what is the procedure to get it? I can still feel a seismic seizure coming on from instruction books that tell you nothing you need to know and excludes all the things you do need to know, to operate one of these absolute things!!!!).

If rage fuels them, I wonder why Trump doesn't mention having them?

Well Paige the oracle's rage was a frustrated rage.

Where Trump just suffers with blind insanity.

insanity is overrated. Outsanity is far much more fun smiley - alienfrownsmiley - boingsmiley - zen I experimented with various foods, a few years back, and experimented to discover their worth to be used, during, or as part of intimate relations, between two consenting adults. Most were epic failures, and some including chili peppers just plain painful smiley - ermsmiley - doh

I've often thought of chilly peppers as an oxymoron, or contradiction in terms. Or maybe someone was just standing in the freezer section next to bags of frozen peppers.

I always thought the peppers came to the UK. Complained about the inclement weather, and that's how they got their name.

Chili Peppers: by eck! It's a bit cold rounds tha nether regions. I need me big coat.
And thats how they became known as The Chili Peppers. True story that. smiley - winkeye

Yes, concentration is the key. I have found focused attention puts pressure on everything as in visual scrutiny but sound relaxes us or at least gets us moving in a pleasant way, however next doors party tends to annoy

Have you ever gone into a cave, far enough so that at some point you can't hear the birds singing any more.
