Personal Entry /obituary for the Guide

If you could write an entry for the Hitchhikers Guide or even an obit, for yourself, what would it be?
For instance mine is:- Paigetheoracle - natural philosopher, amateur linguist. Visited Earth. Tried to understand it. Left, bitterly disappointed.

Would it have to be serious, or could it be a parody. I once wrote parody bio of myself in which my mother was a kangaroo, and my home town was a large swamp punctuated by occasional hills. I also claimed to be a liar 50% of the time.

50% is pretty good. Either way you look at it.

If the truth was that I was truthful all the time, the statement would be false, which would not be possible. Likewise if I lied all the time. It only works if it's absolutely true.

Ah yes, absolutes do not apply in practice. Nobody can be truthful all the time, but it is even more difficult to lie all the time.

Paige, when I read your topic first I thought we were lamenting the demise of the Guide.
Not quite yet.

After reading Sam Harris' excellent book _Lying_, I've certainly aspired to be honest, always. And I think I've done well. That doesn't mean I always speak my mind. I try to know when to bite my tongue. I also don't often commit to future engagements, (especially while drinking, "SURE! I'd love to come meet your inlaws/kids/congregation on Saturday. I'll be there." Yeah, I never say things like that).
It really isn't difficult to be honest. Lying is work and it just leads to trouble. You have to remember your lies to be consistent. I can't remember spit, so I'll just stick to the truth.

You could lie and claim dementia or diplomatic immunity

I still use my guide. It is handy for squashing flies, especially in the pared down version. May be this should have been - 101 uses for H2G2's guide, what's yours?

To get back to the original obit/entry question:
Caiman Raptor Elk - Amateur linguïst and photographer - Related other people's philosophies to own imagination and experiences - Kept wondering about the weirdness of it all, added more weirdness and out of the box thinking to that - Cared.

Not necessarily a fallacy. He could be in a low gravity area
