I believe the correct collective thinggy, for describing a gathering of researchers, is 'an Alcohol of researchers'
OK, just broke my computer and fixed it again but maanged to not loose what I'd just written, well copied and pasted from this thread, so I'll update the meet page in a sec with the detail on the fridge fringe err friday frindge and the afternoon pub crawl, err I mean walk to see sites of historical political and cultural interst and I think I spotted a couple of names which need to go on the atendee list too, I'll post back here when I've updated them...

On my way towards the George - I'll be stupidly early, but it's been a long week.

I'll be leaving for the George in a couple minutes, might stop for food on the way, though.
As it's Friday 13th, I'm pretty sure I won't have too much trouble finding those who may already be there...
See you in a little bit.

Sorry I'm missing the Friday Fringe But then, I missed it last year even when I was aiming for it
Currently faffing and packing, wondering if I need my netbook, and trying to work out the best way to get to the airport for about 7.30 am. Got my passport!

Oooh, its a touchy subject! I need photographic ID for the plane, and lots of the budget airlines (yes Ryanair, I DO mean you!) insist that the only acceptable form is your passport.
Cue many rows at the check-in desk from indignant passengers asserting that Norn Irn is part of the UK and why the hell do I need a passport to travel to my country's capital....
Good news is, my badger badge arrived in the nick of time

A little problem I noticed when looking for a bus; and also no trains across central London apparently although I don't want to use the tube.

I will try my best but my train doesn't arrive at platform 3 St Pancras until 1335. Looks like it is going to be a fun day.
