Beatrice, I wish you luck in finding the Pavilion Hotel. It took me an hour to find it last night -- wandering around and around Edgeware Road. It's at the end of a long row of four-story hotels. The nearest intersection has a Select and S on the corner, and a sign for Marylbane.

Somebody worked it out right. Find the most crowded place you can, and be obscure. The Morris was good.

What a friggin place, have you ever though how much easier it would be to go to Manchester.

I decided it was impossible to get to the thing called a clock at 2pm even if my train was on time; so I went on a river trip on a boat. So there.

I thought leaving the pub at 1913 was a bit early but it turns out it wasn't. It takes ages to drive a hundred yards.

Looking at the intricacy and money, oh wow smiley - wow

And so, after a good day out, with great company and good weather, a fantastic evening, with yet more friends, the Meet drew to an inexorable close

Except I still, after 4 hours smiley - zzz, have a couple of hours left of the 'Meet' to get the smiley - mouse to the station. Then it is over for another year.smiley - sadface

Legs creak, body aches, throat is sore-ish but otherwise I'm great, and it's still smiley - star

Why can't all week-ends be like this???

smiley - ok

Yes indeed, it was a nice Meet. Already looking forward to the next.

Only disappointment was 2legs not covered in smiley - strawberry and cream as promised, but he'll get a new chance next Meet to sort that out smiley - winkeyesmiley - evilgrin

Safely home here! managed to meet up with Ben and Z again at the airport, after I used the facebook check-in feature - how cool is t'internet?

I found the Pavlion pretty easily - but then I was using Googlemaps on the iPhone. The hotel is great, location superb, but I did take one look at the breakfast consisting of a pain au chocolat, choc chip muffin and somecornflakes, and my brain yelled "carb overload!!!"

Brilliant meet, so many people to get caught up with, hope to see you all again soon xxx

Thanks h5 and Bel, and I'm pleased you both arrived home safely. smiley - smileysmiley - hug

I am just smiley - sorry it was thrown together so quickly and so was not as well-planned as I'd have liked.

I have found out that the reason for the smiley - jester dancers at Trafalgar Square was because it was Westminster smiley - jester May day of dance, with invited sides. Details here:

http://www.westminstermorris.org/

If I'd known, I'd have arrived at 12.00, but minismiley - cheesesmiley - mouse may well have been bored. smiley - sadface

Here's to the next meet, wherever it may be. smiley - biggrin
