I was just wondering if there's anyone else out there who was denied a Mr Frosty as a child? I was, and it has scarred me for life...

I was, on the grounds I'd make a mess with it. (And judging by the devastation I caused with Barber Shop my mother may have had a point. ) How I used to dream of making my own inferior slush puppy-style drinks. Life can be so cruel.

I too was denied this as a child but back then my mum got me instead to make other things instead. Ever had home-made frozen orange-juice lollies in Summer? Mr Frosty just doesn't compete.

Of "inferior slush-puppy style drinks" Did anyone else find them just a little bit naff anyway? You'd suck all the flavour out through the straw (sickeningly sweet and acrylic tasting - propbably not to good for your teeth either) and be left with a cup full of crushed ice which slowly started de-frosting in your hand. Or maybe I'm jus' gettin' cynical in ma old age...

Well I seem to remember that slush puppies were quite nice. But as for Mr Frosty, I must have just been won over by the evil marketing department. I was obsessed about it for years. I notice that they've replaced the snowman shape with a penguin now though...

I was denied a Mr. Frosty as a child so I had to go to a friends if I wanted to enjoy a refreshing crushed ice drink which had orange squash in it so it tasted rather odd (you only got a few sachets of real flavouring).
The only problem with them was when you drank them you was guaranteed to get brain freeze which was extremely painful.

I think going a buying a proper Slush Puppy is a much better option since they're very big and tasty
