When are we?

It is February 19th 2023, and we appear to have been restored to April 25th 2021 smiley - tardis

To all Deathlist players and watchers - sit tight and let’s see if they restore the missing game pages and conversations in due course.

If they have lost the data, then I can restore the pages (but not the conversations, obvs). I’d rather wait to see the lay of the land before I do that.

And if this becomes the new normal I’ll see if I can shift the game to another platform (eg Facebook).

Clicking on the NotPanicking site gives some type of replatforming error.

It suggests that they might want to restart their Apache settings.

Clearly they are Shadows of their former selves smiley - smiley

Another aspect of this current situation is that the "My Convos" pop out in Brunel is displaying white text on a white background with only the "unread" notices being highlighted in red and therefore legible. Slightly less legible is text for links that have been clicked like the dates or "no new posts". Those are in a very light grey. smiley - laugh

*slightly less "illegible* I should have typed.

Hey, Progress! My Convos has returned to its original black with white text. No sign of 2022 yet, but progress is good.

I just realized the issue I'm having with "My Convos" displaying white on white is only happening on my home computer now, my work computer displays correctly. I'll probably have to live with that from now on.

< So how's it going. Are we permanently stuck in limbo?>

We’re not ‘stuck’ as such. We’ve just had an unpleasant operation which has erased our last two years of memory. We just have to forget the last couple of years ever happened.

If they do find a way to make us remember, it will presumably overwrite everything we have written since the event, including this thread.

The longer it goes on, the less likely it will be that they will restore the missing years.

But I’m not in the inner circle. Someone else reading this may be able to enlighten us.

I one had a professor who talked about groups of people who all knew as much (or as little) as the others. He called it a pool of ignorance. It's not our fault that we don't know the answers.

We don't know if the powers that be are reading this thread. Maybe it wouldn't matter anyway, if thy don't have answers either.

I don't have the heart to work on Guide entries, as whatever work I devoted to them could disappear at any time. I save what I can, but the work that the editors and subeditors do would also disappear.

I suspect all subeditors would save copies of the work they do on entries from now on, so don't let that stop you from writing entries.
