Does anyone remember Alfster/Alfsterino?

Rev Nick had some troubles for a while, but he got back in the good grace of the powers that be. I hope he is still alive, as he had a heart condition that limited his expected future lifespan to five years.
I had a couple of sock puppets, the main one being Fluffy Pink Rabbit. There actually is a stuffed pink rabbit somewhere in my house. His purpose was to be innocent ad silly, as an occasional counter to my own excessive seriousness.

Bald Bloke is probably who you're thinking of.
I got rather 'archived' by LeKZ and their friends and targeted after I made a 'private' off the cuff remark to someone about the whole 'mountain out of a molehill' over the 'intelligence' entry in peer review.
Not particularly pleasant but you cannot but say LeKZ was memorable and for the record I never really had anything against them except perhaps creating a bit too much of an unnecessary fuss over a 'slightly inaccurate guide here' which in my opinion should never have been taken too seriously. I rather disliked that some slightly vulnerable researchers got triggered and tipped over the edge by those incidents and then some of us got blamed for it.
But let's not reopen old wounds.
I recall an old series of stereotypical chatroom characters was once listed:
The sisters (the girls will gang up on a fellow sister seen as scorned in some way)
The archivist (will quote something you said 10 years ago back at you)
Big Dog
Me too
LeKZ was definitely the site's GODZILLA on that one

Bald Bloke is definitely alive and well. I met him 6-7 years ago at the Manchester '14 meet and see his posts often on social media. I don't think he's ever been close to being banned, but obviously my perception can't be trusted.

He's also still active here on site.

Bald Bloke’s still here. He joined the Deathlist game for the first time this year. You’ll find him on Twitter too.
Difficult to believe he’d post anything controversial, mind. I’ve only ever seen him as totally affable, and supportive of the h2g2 project.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend, Hoo. It's frightening how many people suddenly take their lives when no one expects it. Especially when afterwards, people say that they had seen signs but not recognised them as such.
Unfortunately, I don't remember Alfster, although I would consider myself in the "Archivist" category. (Not a patch on Coelecanth, who seems to have stored the whole site in her brain).
However, I do remember many of the others. I think I may have met Hoo, certainly met Mark Moxon, and also met Bald Bloke several times. I have listed all the meets I have been to on my page, dating back to the year 2000. Happy Days.

I interacted with Alfster from time to time.
I'm surprised the year of social distancing hasn't led to more suiicides. There are so many stressed-out people that psychiatric workers are in short supply.
Will this change soon? I doubt it.
