Looks like I may have lost the part anyway as I didn't sound enthusiastic enough!!

I've volunteered to be the singing harp, so I actually get a song all of my own. Plus another interesting costume to produce!
Also the parent (I can choose male/female) of the heroine - haven't seen the script yet, but am thinking an AbFab sort of mother.

I tried to be a pantomime dame once.... but they said I wasn't butch enough for it to have the comic affect

Seen the script & cast list now. Will have to be male (again) -am thinking plus fours, shooting jacket - maybe even a false moustache…
Interestingly we have gone against tradition & the principal boy is really a man - as usual the 'inner circle' have all the main parts. Even the director has given herself a good part!
Still, will enjoy being two different characters in one performance - shows how versatile I am!!
