Non religious organisations giving pastoral-type care

"Yes I know what pastoral care is, what I want to find is examples of non religious organisations offering similar" [Sho'Flo]
By the modern definition of pastoral care, psychologists and affiliated clinicians would offer it. When my grandmother worried about dying in her sleep, a psychiatrist was able to ease her mind. That sounds to me a lot like nonreligious pastoral care. What I can't do with any certainty of success, is come up with organizations that might provide psychiatric or psychological care, as every country has a different arrangement for providing such care.

Well now paulh,
I can't point you at a such specific organisation but I can point you at an organisation whose members have some such training (I'm damn' sure of that, having watched them at work, at close quarters, for an extended time) :

... and I wonder if this is the only (part of a) country with a District Nurse organisation ... ?
