Fake or not* it is an excellent video. Very thrilling. They only thing that really looked suspicious to me was the child's shadow. It seems to disappear briefly on take off. But on my first viewing, I was nearly convinced. I'm nearly as thrilled by the film makers' skills (or the quality of digital editing today) as I would have been if it were ligit.

I do believe eagles have attempted this before. Toddlers tend to be too heavy though, for them to get far.

Well, it was from a school in Canada claiming that the video was the project in 3D modeling of some of their students. The site must have been swamped with all the traffic due to every 
in' website and news/talk show featuring the video today.

Your point is well taken, sir. 
The news coverage has been massive with all sorts
of anchorpersons putting on a very superior air as
they play it a third and fourth time to reveal flaws.
This is followed by a co-anchor commenting on the way
kids today spend a lot of time de-bunking video and
can spot an errant pixel at 2x normal viewing speeds.
