Where's all me excel graph-gurus?

You've never let me down before!
I want to do a bar chart. I want 2 sets of bars side by side. One set will be the planned figures, so just one figure (call that A). The actual, which I want shown beside it, is made up of 2 parts (B+C), so I want that one stacked.
Can I do this?

Yes. If you set out the data properly first!
For the planned figures (A), put that one figure in one column. Put the data for the actual figures (B & C) in the next column, giving you a 2×2 table, with all but the bottom-left cell containing data.
Select the table, click insert chart/graph (or chart wizard, depending on which version of Excel you're using) - make sure to select 'stacked column' type.
If you wanted to make the 'A' bar a different colour from those used for B & C, move the A figures up one row. For example:
Cell A1 contains figure A
Cell B2 contains figure B
Cell B3 contains figure C

Sorry, I should have been clearer - I want B and C to be distinguishable, different colours, say.

They are for me - both in Office XP and 2007. Make sure you set the data range as series in *rows*, not columns.
